5. Communication and Reporting:
   Keeping higher railway authorities informed about ongoing operations, delays, and emergencies. Controllers also prepare daily operation summaries and performance reports.

6. Safety Assurance:
   The Section Controller ensures that no two trains occupy the same track simultaneously within the same block section. They work closely with Signal & Telecommunication staff to maintain safety standards.

   During track repairs or power failures, the Controller grants and regulates “line blocks” — time intervals when train movement is temporarily stopped for maintenance work.
