Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) of central railway announced the recruitment for the Apprentice for the year 2025. As per the official notification online applications are invited for 2,418 Apprentice. This is the golden opportunity for those candidates who have completed their ITI , And want to be part of Indian Railway.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have pass their 10th (Matriculation) or equivalent 10+2 examination from a recognized board, with at least 50% marks. Candidate must have ITI certificate from NCVT/SCVT.

Age Limit (as of 12 August 2025)
  • Minimum Age : 15 years
  • Maximum Age : 24 years*

The upper age limit relaxation as per goverment rule:

    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC : 3 years
    • PwBD : 10 years

Selection Process

  • Merit Based : A merit list will be prepared for all candidates on behalf of their average percentage of marks obtained in both 10th and ITI exam.
  • Tie Breaker Rule : If the marks will same then older age candidate will be give preference. If the date of birth is also same then, then the candidate who passed earlier will be consider.
  • Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates from merit list will be called for DV. Please bring required documents as per given on notification.
  • Medical Examination 

Training Details and Stipend

Selected candidates will go for one year apprenticeship program. During this period they will get paid a monthly stipend of 7000 Rupee.
