Kamarajar Port Limited (KPL), India's first corporatised major port and a subsidiary of Chennai Port Authority, through the National Productivity Council (NPC) — Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Productivity, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India — has invited online applications for 14 non-executive Grade S-3 posts: Junior Assistant (11 posts) and Junior Accountant (3 posts). Junior Accountant: B.Com 1st Class with 60% or more marks from a recognised University or Institute — Regular (full-time) course only. Experience: Not mandatory.
All candidates must possess valid mark sheets, certificates, and degrees as of the closing date (28 March 2026). Qualifications obtained through distance/correspondence mode are generally not accepted.

PwBD candidates assessed by Medical Board constituted by KPL. Scribe provision: Candidates with 40%+ impairment in dominant writing extremity — +20 minutes per hour extra time (certificate from CMO/Civil Surgeon/Medical Superintendent required).

Computer Based Test (CBT)
Objective type online examination with 120 questions for 120 marks in 90 minutes. Conducted in English only at exam centres across 11 cities. Candidates shortlisted based on marks scored in CBT as per reservation roster and minimum cut-off marks (UR 40%, OBC/EWS 35%, SC/ST/PwBD 30%). Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer. e-Admit Card downloadable 2–3 weeks before exam from kpl.cbtexam.in. 💙
Document Verification
Shortlisted candidates must submit original documents along with self-attested photocopies for verification to KPL management as specified. Documents required: Educational qualification certificates and marksheets, Category/Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD), Age proof (10th certificate), Identity proof, and any other relevant documents. Failure to produce valid documents at this stage leads to disqualification. 💙
Medical Examination
Shortlisted candidates from the document verification stage must undergo a Medical Examination as per KPL standards. Candidates who do not meet the required fitness criteria will be rejected at this stage. PwBD candidates are assessed by a Medical Board constituted by KPL management to evaluate both medical fitness and the ability to meet the prescribed physical requirements for the respective post.

Candidates who successfully clear all three stages — CBT, Document Verification, and Medical Examination — are recommended for appointment as Junior Assistant or Junior Accountant (Grade S-3) at Kamarajar Port Limited, Chennai. The CBT will be conducted at the following tentative centres. Candidates can choose 3 centre preferences during application. Centre allocation is based on response and administrative feasibility. A minimum of 50 candidates are required per centre — if fewer register, candidates will be reallocated to another centre.
- Requests to change post, exam centre, venue, date, or session will NOT be accepted after application.
- Organizing authority reserves the right to cancel, add, or reassign candidates to any centre.
- Candidates must attend the exam at their allotted centre at their own risk and expense.
- Mobile phones and all electronic devices are strictly banned in the examination hall.

Login with your registered credentials and click "New Application". Fill in all required details: personal information, educational qualifications, category claim (UR/OBC/EWS/SC/ST/PwBD), exam centre preferences (3 choices), work experience (if any). Select the post you are applying for — Junior Assistant or Junior Accountant. Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, educational certificates, and category certificates in the prescribed format and file size. 💙
Pay Application Processing Fee Online

Submit & Save Confirmation
Review all entered details carefully before final submission. Once submitted, changes are generally not possible. Save/print the final application form for your records.
