A total of 1,535 Group 'C' Non-Ministerial vacancies are distributed across multiple departments of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration. Additionally, horizontal reservations are provided for PwD (49 posts) and Ex-Servicemen (10 posts) within their respective categories.

- Pay Level 1 Posts: Matriculation (Class 10 pass) from a recognised Board of Secondary Education. Most common posts at this level include MTS, Helper, Lab Attendant, Safaiwala, Field Worker, Peon, etc.
- Pay Level 2 & 3 Posts: Matriculation plus ITI/NTC/NAC Certificate in the relevant trade from a recognised institute. Posts at this level include Tradesman, Mechanic, Electrician, Driver, Cook, etc.
- Pay Level 4 Posts: ITI Certificate or Diploma in relevant trade/engineering discipline. Technical and supervisory posts such as Foreman, Technician, and Operator (Senior) require this level.
- Pay Level 5 Posts: Diploma or Degree in relevant engineering/technical discipline from a recognised institution. Includes posts like Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical) where applicable.
- For posts involving driving: A valid driving licence for LMV / HMV (as applicable) is mandatory in addition to the above qualification.
- For posts with experience requirement: Relevant work experience as specified in the post-wise vacancy list must be met.

The Combined Matric Level Examination 2026 will be conducted in Tablet Based Test (TBT) mode — a computer-based examination delivered on government-provided tablets at designated examination centres. Stage II — Physical / Skill / Trade Test (where applicable):
- Applicable only to certain posts as specified in the official notification (e.g., posts requiring a physical test, trade test, or skill demonstration)
- Type of test depends on the post: Physical Standard Examination (PSE), Physical Measurement and Endurance Test (PMET), Skill Test, or Trade Test
- Conducted by the concerned department — the A&N Administration provides the schedule separately
- Must pass Stage II to be considered for final merit, but Stage II marks are not counted in the final score
- Final merit is based exclusively on the TBT (Stage I) marks
Online Application & Screening
Candidates submit online applications at erecruitment.andamannicobar.gov.in from 08 to 28 June 2026. Applications are screened for eligibility based on declared qualification, age, category, and post preferences. Incorrectly filled or incomplete applications may be rejected.
Stage I — Tablet Based Test (TBT)
The primary merit-determining examination. 150 objective MCQs, 150 marks, 120 minutes. Covers General Intelligence & Reasoning (25), Numerical Aptitude (25), General English (50), and General Awareness (50). Negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer. Conducted in TBT mode at designated centres across the A&N Islands.
Stage II — Physical / Skill / Trade Test (Post-wise, Qualifying)
Applicable for specific posts as prescribed in the notification. Includes Physical Standard Examination, Physical Measurement & Endurance Test, Skill Test, or Trade Test depending on the post. Conducted by the concerned department. Qualifying in nature only — Stage II marks are NOT included in the final merit list.
Stage III — Document Verification (Online Upload)
Candidates shortlisted based on TBT merit (and qualifying Stage II where applicable) are required to upload scanned original documents on the official portal within the stipulated time. Documents are verified by the A&N Administration. Failure to upload valid documents on time leads to cancellation of candidature without further notice.
Final Selection & Merit List
Final merit list is prepared category-wise and post-wise based on TBT marks. In case of a tie in marks between two candidates, the tie-breaking criteria (typically date of birth and/or alphabetical order) specified in the notification will apply. The final appointment is subject to medical fitness and character verification.

Register & Create Your Account
Click on "Register" and create an account using your active mobile number and email ID. A registration number and password will be generated. Note them down carefully — you will need these to log back in, download your admit card, and check results.
Fill Application Form — Personal & Educational Details
Log in and open the online application form. Enter all personal details (name exactly as in Matriculation certificate, date of birth, gender, category, domicile), educational qualification details, and work experience (if applicable). Select post preferences in the desired order — choose carefully as this cannot be changed after submission.
Select Exam Zone & Upload Documents
Select your preferred examination zone (South Andaman / North & Middle Andaman / Nicobar). Upload a recent passport-size photograph and signature in the prescribed format and file size. Upload other required documents as specified. Once submitted, exam zone cannot be changed.
Pay Application Fee & Submit
General/OBC/EWS candidates pay ₹100/- online via Net Banking, UPI, QR Code, or Card. Female, ST, and PwBD candidates proceed without fee payment. Review all details carefully before final submission. Once submitted, the form cannot be edited. Download and print the confirmation page / application form printout for your records.
Monitor Official Portal & Email
After submission, regularly check erecruitment.andamannicobar.gov.in and your registered email/SMS for exam date announcements, admit card availability, result notifications, and document verification schedules. No separate information will be sent by post.
Keep scanned copies (in prescribed format and size) ready for online upload. Original documents will be required during the Document Verification stage which is conducted online via portal upload.
OBC candidates: +3 years → Max 36 years (Male Group C) / 41 years (Female Group C)

Ex-Servicemen: As per Government of India rules — service period minus 3 years deducted from age
