Based on the Main Written Examination, a total of 198 eligible candidates were called for the Physical Efficiency Test and Document Verification held at Bihar Veterinary College, Patna. Out of these, 193 candidates appeared while 5 remained absent.

Complete Selection Process — Step by Step

Preliminary Written Examination — 07 September 2025 ✅

The recruitment process began with a Preliminary Written Examination conducted on 07 September 2025 (Sunday) under Advertisement No. 03/2025. Candidates who cleared the prelims were shortlisted for the Main Written Examination.

Main Written Examination — 14 December 2025 ✅

The Main Written Examination was conducted on 14 December 2025 (Sunday). Marks from this exam formed the primary basis for the final merit list. Based on Main Exam performance, 198 candidates were shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Document Verification — 09 February 2026 ✅

The PET and document verification were held at Bihar Veterinary College Campus, Patna on 09 February 2026. Of 198 called, 193 appeared. After the PET, 7 candidates were eliminated (5 absent + 2 failed). The remaining 191 qualified candidates were invited for the Interview.

Joining Process — What Happens Next for Selected Candidates

Appointment Recommendation Forwarded

BPSSC has already forwarded the appointment recommendation to the State Transport Commissioner, Bihar, Patna. Further joining instructions will be issued directly by the appointing authority — not by BPSSC.

Character & Educational Verification

Before joining, selected candidates must undergo character verification as per rules, along with verification of educational qualifications, reservation category documents, and all other eligibility certificates. Any discrepancy or adverse report will lead to disqualification. Please keep all your documents ready! 💙

Medical Examination

Selected candidates will be required to clear a medical fitness examination conducted by the appointing authority before joining. Only medically fit candidates will be issued appointment orders. Candidates found medically unfit will not be appointed.

Please carry originals of: Valid Photo ID (Voter ID / Driving Licence / Aadhaar), Graduation Certificate, Matriculation Certificate (for DOB proof), Caste Certificate (for reserved categories — issued in father's name for women), NCL Certificate (for BC/EBC), EWS Certificate (FY 2024–25), Domicile Certificate (Bihar), and PPO & Discharge Book (if ex-serviceman).

Joining Instruction from Transport Department

The appointing authority — State Transport Commissioner, Bihar, Patna — will issue individual joining instructions specifying the date, venue, and additional requirements. Selected candidates must report personally at the specified time with all required documents. Non-reporting within the stipulated period may result in cancellation of candidature.

⛔ Critical Warnings for Selected Candidates
  • If any candidate has suppressed facts or submitted false information, they will be declared ineligible even after selection — at any stage including post-appointment.
  • If a criminal case is pending or the candidate has been convicted by any court, they will be disqualified from appointment.
  • Caste certificates for women (married or unmarried) must be issued on the basis of father's name to be valid.
  • NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) certificates for BC/EBC women must also be issued on the father's basis.
  • Beware of agents and touts — BPSSC warns all candidates not to trust any intermediary claiming to facilitate appointment. Report such persons to the police immediately.
  • BPSSC is not responsible for any printing or typographical errors in the published notice.
