⛔ Important Restrictions & Conditions
  • Existing Central Bank of India employees must have a minimum 3 years of service in the bank as on the cut-off date (31.01.2026) to be eligible. If selected, they must resign from their existing post and join as a fresh candidate — no seniority transfer applies.
  • Candidates must have a minimum CIC (Credit Information Company) score of 650 with no credit default or financial indiscipline visible in the credit report as on the date of document verification.
  • Selected candidates must execute a Bond of ₹3,00,000 (₹3 Lakh) for a period of 3 years from the date of joining the Bank.
  • Candidates whose CGPA/OGPA was awarded must convert it to percentage as per university norms. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% — no rounding up is permitted.
  • Only full-time regular courses are accepted. Part-time, correspondence, or distance-learning degrees are not eligible for IT specialist posts.
  • Any experience below 6 months in an organisation is not counted towards the experience requirement unless it is part of the current employment.
  • OBC candidates in the Creamy Layer must apply under the General category. Non-Creamy Layer certificate is mandatory at the time of interview.
  • Candidates serving in Govt./quasi-Govt./PSU must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of interview.

Selection Process

Online Written Examination — 100 Marks | 90 Minutes (April 2026)

Computer-based objective test with 75 questions across three sections: (1) Stream/Category Specific — 50 questions, 75 marks, 60 minutes; (2) Reasoning — 15 questions, 15 marks; (3) Banking, Present Economic Scenario & General Awareness — 10 questions, 10 marks (combined duration for sections 2 & 3: 30 minutes). No negative marking for wrong answers. Qualifying marks: 50% for General/EWS and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD.

Personal Interview — 100 Marks (April 2026)

Candidates shortlisted from the written exam are called for a personal interview assessing technical depth, domain expertise, communication, and overall suitability. Qualifying marks: 50% for General/EWS and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD. Interview will be held at a centre at the Bank's sole discretion.
