The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has released the official notification for Rajya Seva Mukhy Pariksha-2025 (State Service Mains Examination 2025) vide Notice No. 2101/2143/2026/EXAM dated 28 March 2026. The examination covers 265 posts across 20 state services as advertised under Advt. No. 06/2025/Pariksha dated 26.11.2025. Candidates who qualified the Prelims (held 22 February 2026) can apply online from 1 April to 15 April 2026. The Mains exam is scheduled on 16, 17, 18 and 19 May 2026.
The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) is one of the most respected state-level recruitment authorities in central India. The State Service Examination (SSE) — commonly called CGPSC Rajya Seva Pariksha — is the gateway to the most coveted administrative, police, and specialist posts in the Chhattisgarh Government. Posts selected through this examination include Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Naib Tehsildar, District Excise Officer, Labour Officer, Employment Officer, and several other prestigious state service positions.
The CGPSC State Service Examination 2025 was notified on 26 November 2025 (Advt. No. 06/2025/Pariksha) for 265 posts across 20 services. The Preliminary Examination was successfully conducted on 22 February 2026 simultaneously at 33 district headquarters across Chhattisgarh. Following the announcement of the Prelims result on 25 March 2026, the Commission has now released the Mains notification (Notice No. 2101/2143/2026/EXAM dated 28 March 2026) calling shortlisted candidates to apply for the Main Examination.
The Mains Examination — a descriptive, conventional-type examination in 7 papers — is the most critical stage of the CGPSC selection process. It tests candidates on Language, Essay Writing, and five General Studies papers covering History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Science, Technology, and Chhattisgarh-specific topics. The final merit list is prepared on the combined marks of the Mains Examination (1400 marks) and the Interview/Personality Test (150 marks). Candidates preparing for this exam should study both national and Chhattisgarh-specific subjects with equal depth.
- The correction window (16–17 April 2026) allows changes to the online application only once — use it carefully.
- Correction is free of charge (one-time), but portal charges + GST are applicable.
- After 17 April 2026 (11:59 PM), no corrections will be accepted under any circumstances — the Commission will not entertain any representation on this matter.
