Indian Navy Agniveer Recruitment 2026 SSR · MR · SSR (Med) — 01/2027 & 02/2027 Batches | INET 2026
Indian Navy has officially released the Agniveer recruitment notification for SSR, MR and SSR (Medical) batches under the Agnipath Scheme. Online applications are open from 14 March to 06 April 2026 at joinindiannavy.gov.in. Starting monthly package of ₹30,000 plus a tax-free Seva Nidhi of ₹11.71 Lakh on exit.

Educational Qualification — Post-wise
Option B Passed a 3-year Engineering Diploma (Mechanical / Electrical / Automobiles / CS / IT / Instrumentation) from a Central/State/UT recognised Polytechnic — 50% in aggregate.
Option C Passed a 2-year Vocational Course with Physics & Mathematics as non-vocational subjects from a recognised Education Board — 50% in aggregate.
⚠️ Key Points on Eligibility
- Only unmarried candidates eligible. No exceptions.
- Candidates appearing in final qualifying exam are also eligible — marksheet to be produced before Stage II.
- Non-Indian nationals are NOT eligible under any category.
- SC/ST/OBC/EWS age relaxation applicable as per Govt. of India rules.

Stage I — INET Computer-Based Test (CBT) · May 2026
Online objective test. Candidates shortlisted for Stage II based on Stage I merit. Negative marking: 0.25 per wrong answer. Exam in Hindi and English. Results published on registration portal.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT) — Stage II (Qualifying)
Mandatory qualifying round. Only Stage I shortlisted candidates are called. PFT must be cleared to appear in the Stage II Written Exam. Conducted at candidate's own risk — no appeal against disqualification.
Stage II — Written Examination (Objective)
Only PFT-qualified candidates appear. SSR & SSR (Med): 100 questions. MR: 50 questions. Conducted in Hindi and English. Minimum section-wise marks required to qualify.
Recruitment Medical Examination
Clinical medical exam as per Indian Navy standards at a designated naval establishment. Candidates declared medically unfit are not eligible for appointment regardless of merit position.
Provisional Select List & Enrolment
Final merit based on Stage II Written Exam marks, subject to qualifying PFT and medical. For SSR (Med), merit is prepared state-wise. Enrolment subject to availability of vacancies in respective trades.

📋 Exam Rules
- Negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer applies in both Stage I and Stage II.
- Candidates must achieve minimum qualifying marks in every section individually — overall marks alone do not qualify.
- Admit card for INET Stage I is available on the registration portal approximately 4–7 days before the exam date.
- Stage II exam centre is decided by the Indian Navy; no change of centre is permitted.

PFT is conducted at the candidate's own risk. Indian Navy bears no responsibility for any injury. Failing PFT means no access to Stage II Written Exam — no exceptions, no appeals.

Pay Examination Fee Online
Pay ₹550 + 18% GST via Net Banking, Visa/MasterCard/RuPay debit/credit card, or UPI. Fee is non-refundable once paid.
