Selection Process & Preferences
Merit List Preparation
Total marks across all semesters/years are summed to arrive at an aggregate percentage. A merit list is prepared on this basis. No rounding off of marks is done. No extra weightage is given to any semester or to higher qualifications.
Tie-Breaking Rules
If two candidates have identical aggregate marks: (a) the candidate with the older date of birth is selected. If DOB is also the same: (b) the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier gets preference.
Document Verification (DV)
Candidates equalling 3 times the notified seats are called in the first round of DV. Further rounds may follow as required. Candidates must bring all originals and two sets of self-attested photocopies. No TA/DA is paid for attending DV.
Training Contract & Commencement
Selected candidates sign a Contract of Apprenticeship Training before training begins. Training is for one year and candidates can be deployed anywhere within KRCL's operational jurisdiction across Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka.
