Age Relaxation: OBC — 3 years | SC/ST — 5 years | PwD — 10 years | Ex-Servicemen — as per UP Govt. rules. Candidates born between 2nd July 1985 and 1st July 2004 are generally eligible (subject to category relaxation).
Payment was accepted online only (Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI). Fee once paid was non-refundable.
Preliminary Examination (Objective) ✅ Completed
The Prelims (Screening Exam) was conducted in multiple phases between 6 December 2025 and 25 January 2026. It consisted of 150 objective MCQ questions for 300 marks covering General Studies (30 Qs) and Concerned Subject (120 Qs) with 0.33 negative marking. Prelims is purely a qualifying round — its marks are NOT counted in the final merit list. The purpose is only to shortlist candidates for the Mains Exam.
Prelims Result & Qualified Candidates List ✅ Current Stage
UPPSC has released the subject-wise list of candidates qualified for Mains in PDF format at uppsc.up.nic.in. The latest batch — Music, Agriculture/Horticulture, Arts, and Urdu — was released on 12 March 2026 (visible upto 12 April 2026). Earlier subjects including Maths, Hindi, Science, Sanskrit, Home Science, Commerce, English, and Biology were released between February and March 2026. The PDF lists roll numbers — no login required. Use Ctrl+F to search your roll number. 💙
Mains Conventional Form Submission — In Progress
Qualified candidates must fill the Conventional (Offline) Form for Mains online via OTR at uppsc.up.nic.in, then print the filled form, self-attest all documents, and physically submit it to UPPSC, Prayagraj at Gate No. 3 by post or in person. For Science, Home Science, English, Biology — deadline was 23 March 2026 (5 PM). Commerce and Sanskrit deadline was 18 March 2026. Remaining subjects will have separate deadlines — check the official website! Do not miss your subject's deadline under any circumstances. 💙
Main (Descriptive) Examination — April to August 2026
The Mains Examination is descriptive — 200 marks, 3 hours, subject-specific only. No general studies paper in Mains. Questions include Short Answer type (~125 words, 8 marks) and Long Answer type (~200 words, 12 marks). No negative marking in Mains. Mains dates: 22–23 April | 16–17 May | 13–14 June | 16 August 2026. Admit cards will be released on the official UPPSC website. This is where the real battle is — your Mains marks decide your final rank. Give it everything! 💙
Document Verification — After Mains Result
Candidates shortlisted after the Mains Exam will be called for Document Verification (DV). Original certificates must be produced. Candidates found ineligible or absent at DV will be disqualified. Dates will be announced post-Mains result on uppsc.up.nic.in. Keep all academic, category, and identity documents ready and well-organised from now itself.
Final Merit List & Appointment 🏫
The Final Merit List is prepared entirely on Mains Exam performance — prelims marks play no role. Selected candidates receive appointment letters as Assistant Teacher (LT Grade / Trained Graduate Grade) in UP Government Secondary Schools under the Basic Education Department. Go to "What's New" or "Results" Section
On the UPPSC homepage, locate the "What's New" section (scrolling ticker on the homepage) or click the "Results" tab from the top navigation menu. Look for links titled "LIST OF CANDIDATES QUALIFIED FOR MAINS IN ASSISTANT TEACHER TRAINED GRADUATE (M/F) BRANCH EXAM 2025 (SUBJECT — [YOUR SUBJECT])".

Multiple subject-wise PDF links are available. Click the link corresponding to your subject. The PDF will open in a new tab directly. No login, no registration required — the result PDF is publicly accessible. If the website is slow due to high traffic, try accessing it at off-peak hours (early morning or late night).
Search Your Roll Number in the PDF
Once the PDF opens, press Ctrl + F (Windows / Linux) or Command + F (Mac) to open the search function. Type your Roll Number exactly as printed on your admit card. If your roll number appears in the list, you are qualified for the Mains Examination! Congratulations — that's an amazing achievement! 💙

Click the download button to save the result PDF on your device. The PDFs are visible only until 12 April 2026 — so save it RIGHT NOW. Also take a screenshot of your roll number in the list. Store both securely. You may need to present this during Mains form submission and document verification.
Fill Mains Conventional Form via OTR — Do It Now!
Qualified candidates must immediately visit uppsc.up.nic.in, log in with your OTR number from otr.pariksha.nic.in, and fill the Mains Conventional Form for your subject. Print it, self-attest the required documents, and submit by speed post or in person to UPPSC Prayagraj, Gate No. 3 before your subject's deadline. Every day counts — do not delay! 💙
- The Prelims result PDFs are visible only until 12 April 2026 — download your result PDF NOW before the link expires.
- Mains Conventional Form submission requires physical delivery to UPPSC Prayagraj — online submission alone is NOT sufficient. You must print and send/deliver the form.
- Each subject has a different Mains form deadline. Missing your subject's deadline means losing your chance entirely — there are no extensions.
- The final merit list is based ONLY on Mains marks — prelims marks have zero role. A low prelims score does not disadvantage you in any way from this point forward.
- Social Science and Physical Education results are still awaited — candidates of these subjects must keep checking uppsc.up.nic.in regularly.
- Step 1 — Online: Log in at uppsc.up.nic.in using your OTR number (from otr.pariksha.nic.in) → Go to Candidate Dashboard → Find your subject's Mains application → Fill in online details and submit.
