- Teaching/research experience is counted after obtaining the PG degree (MD/MS/DM/MCh) — not from the date of MBBS.
- Experience must be in the concerned specialty/subject at a recognized medical institution. Experience in private practice is generally NOT counted.
- DNB holders must verify NMC equivalence notification (dated 31.10.2018) for their specific specialty — equivalence conditions differ by specialty.
- Candidates must NOT apply for posts in departments where they do not hold the relevant PG degree — incorrect applications will be rejected.

Online Application Submission
Eligible candidates must apply online at aiimspatna.edu.in between 20 March and 4 May 2026. Register with a valid Email ID and mobile number, fill in personal, academic, and professional details accurately, upload required documents (photo, signature, certificates), pay the application fee online, and submit. Initial Scrutiny of Applications
After the application window closes, AIIMS Patna's recruitment committee conducts an initial verification of all submitted applications to check basic eligibility — qualification, experience, age, and fee payment. Ineligible applications are rejected at this stage. Candidates are advised to be truthful and accurate in all entries — discrepancies discovered at any stage lead to disqualification and possible debarment.
Objective Screening Test (if applicable)
If the number of eligible applications for any post exceeds 10, AIIMS Patna may conduct an Objective Screening Test to shortlist candidates for the interview. The screening score is used to determine the shortlist. If applications are 10 or fewer for a post, all eligible candidates proceed directly to the interview stage. Date, centre, and pattern of the screening test (if conducted) will be notified on the official website.
Personal Interview by Selection Committee
Shortlisted candidates are called for a Personal Interview conducted by AIIMS Patna's Selection Committee. The interview evaluates academic merit, research contributions, publications, clinical expertise, teaching methodology, communication skills, and overall suitability for the faculty role. Date, time, and venue of interviews will be communicated via the official website and individual call letters. All original certificates must be produced at the interview. 💙
