⚠ Probation Period Pay — Important to Know
During the probation period of 3 years (or as per Punjab Govt. instructions), selected candidates receive only the minimum admissible pay of the respective Level. No Grade Pay, Dearness Allowance, annual increments, or other allowances (HRA etc.) are paid during probation — only Travelling Allowance and medical reimbursement as per entitlement. Existing PSPCL employees' pay will be protected if their current pay exceeds the minimum admissible pay.

🇦🇮 Punjabi Language — Mandatory for All Posts
A working knowledge of Punjabi at the Matriculation (10th) standard level is mandatory for all 10 post types. Candidates must have passed Punjabi as a subject in Matric — OR — hold an equivalent Punjabi language certificate from a recognised institution. For Group C posts (Laboratory Assistant, Fireman, Technician Grade-1, Welder Grade-1, Electrician Grade-1, Bulldozer Operator, Loco Shunter Operator), there is additionally a mandatory Punjabi Language Qualifying Test (Part-I of CBT — 50 questions) in which a minimum of 50% marks (25 out of 50) must be secured. Failure in this Punjabi qualifying test eliminates the candidate from the merit list regardless of marks in the main technical paper.

How to Apply Online

Step 1 — Register at pspcl.in (Recruitment Section)
Visit www.pspcl.in → Click on Recruitment tab → Find the link for CRA-314/26 (Laboratory Assistant, Fireman, Technician Grade-1, Welder, Bulldozer Operator, Loco Shunter, Certified Welder, Electrician Grade-1, APA Mechanical) → Click on the application link. On the application page, select your post and click NEW REGISTRATION. Enter your name, date of birth, father's name, mobile number, and email ID. An OTP is sent to both mobile and email — verify both. After OTP verification, your Part-1 registration is complete.

Step 2 — Fill the Complete Application Form
Log in with your registered credentials. Fill all mandatory fields: personal details, qualification details (passing year, marks — write 'RESULT AWAITED' in Year of Passing column if result is pending), category and sub-category (select very carefully — cannot be changed after submission), Punjabi language qualification details, IBR/HMV licence details if applicable, and address for correspondence. Use Save Draft for partial saving. When fully complete, click Save and Preview — review all details — then Submit. After clicking Submit, no edits are possible.

Step 3 — Upload Photograph & Signature
Upload your scanned passport-size colour photograph — JPG/JPEG format, 150×200 pixels, between 20 KB and 50 KB — recent photo with plain background. Upload your scanned signature — JPG/JPEG, 140×60 pixels, between 10 KB and 20 KB — sign in black ink on white paper. Only your own signature is valid — signature by another person leads to rejection. Both uploads must be clear, readable, and within the specified file size limits.

Step 4 — Pay Application Fee (Last Date: 06 July 2026)
After application submission, proceed to fee payment through the SBI Payment Gateway. Pay ₹1,416 (Gen/BC/EWS) or ₹885 (SC/PwD) — via Internet Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card. Bank charges may additionally apply. Save the transaction number and download the Payment Receipt. The fee can be paid up to 06 July 2026 even if application was submitted by 01 July — but do not delay. An application without fee payment is automatically rejected. Fee once paid is non-refundable.

Step 5 — Print Application Form & Payment Receipt
After fee payment, log in again and confirm fee status shows "Paid". Click PRINT APPLICATION FORM — download and save it. Note that no email is sent with the final application form — you must download it yourself. Also save the Payment Receipt (Subject to Realization). Keep both documents for the document checking stage. Do NOT register again for the same post — only the application with the highest/latest application number will be considered if multiple applications are submitted.

What is the application fee for PSPCL CRA-314/26 and can I apply for multiple posts?+
The application fee is ₹1,200 + 18% GST = ₹1,416 (+ bank charges) for General/BC/EWS and other non-SC/PwD candidates, and ₹750 + 18% GST = ₹885 (+ bank charges) for SC and PwD candidates. The fee is non-refundable. Yes — candidates can apply for more than one post, but they must register and submit a completely separate application with a separate fee payment for each post. The fee paid for one application cannot be adjusted or transferred to another application. The fee payment deadline is 06 July 2026 — separate from the application submission deadline of 01 July 2026.
What are the physical fitness requirements for the Fireman post?+
The Fireman post has both physical standard requirements and physical endurance test requirements. Physical Standards (PST): Height — minimum 5 feet 5 inches; Chest (male) — 33.5 inches unexpanded expanding to 35 inches; Vision — 6/6 in both eyes without spectacles. For female/women candidates, only height and vision standards apply. Physical Endurance Test (PET): (1) Run 100 yards carrying a 60 kg stone within 1 minute; (2) Lift a hook ladder vertically from the 3rd and 6th round; (3) Climb a rope or vertical pipe to a height of 8–10 feet from the ground. The physical test is conducted after CBT qualification — all three events are mandatory. Pregnant women are not eligible for the Fireman post.
What is the age limit for PSPCL CRA-314/26 and when is it calculated?+
The age limit is minimum 18 years and maximum 37 years, calculated as on 01 January 2026. Age relaxations: SC/Backward Class — +5 years (maximum 42 years); Physically Handicapped — +10 years (maximum 47 years); Widow/Separated/Divorced Women/Wife of Military Personnel — upper limit raised to 40 years; Ex-Servicemen (Punjab domicile) — their military service period is deducted from actual age, and if the resultant age does not exceed 37 years by more than 3 years, they are eligible (effective maximum ~40 years); PSPCL/PSTCL/Punjab Govt. serving employees — relaxation to the extent of service rendered.
What documents are required at the Document Checking stage?+
At document checking, candidates must produce all original certificates along with one set of self-attested photocopies. Required documents include: printed online application form + payment receipt, Aadhaar card + one additional photo ID (driving licence/voter card/passport), Matriculation certificate (for DOB and Punjabi proof), qualifying degree/diploma/ITI/B.Sc. marksheets and certificates, category-specific reservation certificates in Punjab Govt. format (SC/BC/EWS/XSM/PwD/Sports Gradation as applicable), IBR welding certificate (for Welder posts), HMV driving licence (for Bulldozer/Loco Shunter Operator), fire fighting certificate (for Fireman). Candidates who fail to produce documents on the first scheduled date are given a second (final) chance — non-appearance on the second chance leads to automatic cancellation of candidature.
What qualification is required for the Electrician Grade-1 and Technician Grade-1 posts?+
For Electrician Grade-1: 3/4-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum 50% marks — OR — Matriculation + Regular ITI in any Electrical discipline branch with minimum 60% marks + 2 years of working experience as Electrician Grade-2 in PSPCL/PSTCL. For Technician Grade-1/Mechanical: 3/4-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 50% — OR — Matric + Regular ITI in Mechanical branch with min. 60% + 2 years experience as Technician Grade-2 (Mechanical) in PSPCL/PSTCL. For Technician Grade-1/Instrumentation: Diploma in Instrumentation/Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engg. with min. 50% — OR — Matric + ITI in Instrumentation/Electronics/Electrical/Computer with min. 60% + 2 years experience as Technician Grade-2 (Instrumentation) in PSPCL/PSTCL. The experience route is specifically for PSPCL/PSTCL employees — outside experience does not count.

⚠ Critical Warnings — Read Before Applying
