Probation Period Pay: During the 3-year probation (or as per Punjab Govt. instructions), selected candidates receive only the minimum admissible pay of the respective Level. No Grade Pay, Dearness Allowance, annual increments, or other allowances (HRA etc.) are paid during probation — only Travelling Allowance and medical reimbursement as per entitlement. Existing PSPCL employees’ pay will be protected if their current pay exceeds the minimum admissible pay.

Punjabi Language — Mandatory for All Posts: A working knowledge of Punjabi at the Matriculation (10th) standard level is mandatory for all 10 post types. Candidates must have passed Punjabi as a subject in Matric or hold an equivalent Punjabi language certificate. For Group C posts (Laboratory Assistant, Fireman, Technician Grade-1, Welder Grade-1, Electrician Grade-1, Bulldozer Operator, Loco Shunter Operator), there is additionally a mandatory Punjabi Language Qualifying Test (Part-I of CBT — 50 questions) requiring a minimum of 50% marks (25 out of 50). Failure eliminates the candidate from the merit list regardless of marks in the main technical paper.

Physical test for Fireman is conducted after CBT qualification. All three endurance events are mandatory qualifying standards — failure in any event results in disqualification. Candidates are not permitted a second attempt on the same day for physical events.

  1. Register at pspcl.in (Recruitment Section) — visit www.pspcl.in → Recruitment tab → find the link for CRA-314/26 → select your post and click NEW REGISTRATION → enter name, date of birth, father’s name, mobile number, email ID → verify OTP on both mobile and email.

Fill the Complete Application Form — log in and fill all mandatory fields: personal details, qualification details (write ‘RESULT AWAITED’ if pending), category/sub-category (select carefully — cannot be changed after submission), Punjabi language qualification, IBR/HMV licence details if applicable, correspondence address.
