Only candidates who have already appeared in and qualified the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) conducted at the departmental level by Fire & Emergency Services / SDRF are eligible to apply. Candidates who have not appeared in PFT, or who appeared but did not qualify, cannot apply regardless of meeting all other eligibility conditions. The written exam is not open to fresh general applicants.

Stage 1 ✓ — Physical Fitness Test (PFT) — Already Completed
The Physical Fitness Test was conducted at the department level by Fire & Emergency Services and SDRF prior to this notification. Candidates who cleared this PFT received a qualifying certificate/clearance from the department. This was the first filter — only PFT-qualified candidates are now eligible for the written exam. No re-testing of physical fitness occurs at the written exam stage.
Stage 2 — Written Examination (NSF26) — 19 July 2026
A 2-hour 15-minute objective MCQ examination conducted by CG Vyapam at Raipur centres on 19 July 2026 (Sunday) from 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM. The paper covers General Knowledge, Reasoning, Mathematics, Hindi, and Post-specific Technical/Professional Knowledge. Minimum qualifying marks as per CG Vyapam norms must be secured to proceed. No negative marking — candidates should attempt all questions. Admit card available on vyapamcg.cgstate.gov.in before the exam.
Stage 3 — Document Verification (DV)
Candidates shortlisted based on written exam merit are called for Document Verification at the designated venue. All original documents must be produced — including Chhattisgarh domicile certificate, educational certificates (10th/12th/B.Sc/B.E/ITI as applicable), PFT clearance certificate from department, caste certificate (in CG Govt. format), driving licence (for Driver posts), Aadhaar card, and PwBD certificate if applicable. Any discrepancy in documents leads to immediate disqualification.
Stage 4 — Medical Examination & Final Appointment
Candidates who clear Document Verification undergo a Medical Examination at a designated government hospital to verify fitness for fire service duty. Final selection is published on vyapamcg.cgstate.gov.in. Selected candidates receive appointment orders for posting at Fire & Emergency Services stations and SDRF units across Chhattisgarh. All posts are state-level transferable.
