📌 About EMRS: Ekalavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) are residential schools set up by the National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, for tribal students (ST communities). Both EMRS Fitkoriya (Block Kathikund) and EMRS Dalahi (Block Masalia) have been recently operationalised in Dumka district and are in immediate need of Guest Teachers. Candidates can indicate their school preference (School 1, School 2, or Both) on the application form. The right to amend or cancel this notification rests with the Deputy Commissioner, Dumka.

Educational Qualification — TGT Guest Teacher
Minimum Academic Qualification — Graduate Degree
Candidates must hold one of the following:
- 4-year integrated B.Ed degree in the concerned subject from a recognised institution, with minimum 50% marks OR
- 3-year B.Sc Honours degree in the concerned subject from a recognised institution, along with B.Ed, with minimum 50% marks
Teaching Eligibility Test — CTET Paper-2 (Mandatory)
- Candidates must have passed CTET Paper-2 (Class VI–VIII) conducted by CBSE — mandatory for TGT posts
- If no CTET-qualified candidates are found eligible, JTET (Jharkhand TET) qualified candidates will also be considered for the post

Remuneration / Honorarium
Full-Time Guest Teacher (TGT) Honorarium
As per NESTS / State EMRS Society Norms
Payment is governed by NESTS (National Education Society for Tribal Students) and/or the State EMRS Society prescribed rates for Guest Teachers, as applicable at the time of appointment. The exact monthly honorarium will be as per current government norms for EMRS guest teachers in Jharkhand. Selection Process
Application Screening — Shortlisting of Eligible Candidates
All applications received before the deadline are screened by the District Welfare Office. A list of eligible candidates is prepared based on qualification (Graduate + B.Ed + CTET Paper-2), age, and completeness of documents. Only shortlisted candidates are called for the next stage.
Walk-in Interview / Skill Test — District-Level Committee
Selection is conducted through a Walk-in Interview and/or Skill Test by the District-Level Committee. The committee evaluates subject knowledge, teaching aptitude, and communication skills.
Selection Priorities — Local Candidates & Teaching Experience

- Local (Sthaniya) candidates are given priority — candidates domiciled in Dumka district or nearby areas get preference
- Candidates with prior teaching experience in any recognised educational institution are given priority over freshers

Service Conditions — Key Terms of Appointment
Tenure: 1 year from date of joining OR until a regular teacher is appointed — whichever is earlier. No extensions guaranteed.
Residential Requirement: EMRS is a boarding school — selected teachers must reside at the school and be available as per school/student needs.
Working Hours: Same as regular full-time teachers — as per school schedule and timetable set by the principal.
No Permanency: Appointment is purely temporary. No claim of regularisation, permanency, or any other service benefit can be made at any stage.
Leave: Only Central/State Govt. and NESTS-declared holidays permitted. No additional leave is admissible beyond these.
Co-Curricular Activities: Participation in all co-curricular activities is mandatory — no extra payment for this. Part of regular duties.
Termination: Service can be terminated immediately, without prior notice, for violation of service agreement terms or unsatisfactory performance.
Final Authority: In any dispute, the decision of the Head of Institution or District-Level Committee is final and binding for all parties.
