Beyond the Seva Nidhi lump sum, Agniveers who complete their 4-year tenure receive priority consideration for various government and private-sector jobs through partnerships the Ministry of Defence has established with PSUs, paramilitary forces, and private companies. The top 25% performing Agniveers (based on service record) are also given the opportunity to apply for enrolment into the Regular Cadre of the Air Force for a full career.

Phase-I — Online Written Examination (22–23 September 2026)
A computer-based objective test assessing general knowledge, numerical/reasoning ability, and English comprehension at a level appropriate to the chosen stream (Science / Other Than Science / Medical Assistant). Candidates indicate 5 preferred exam centre choices, though CASB reserves the right to allot any centre.
Phase-II(a) — Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Candidates shortlisted from the written exam undergo a physical fitness assessment: PFT-I is a 1.6 Km run (Male: 7 minutes, Female: 8 minutes), and PFT-II covers push-ups, sit-ups, and squats as per IAF-prescribed standards. Both components must be cleared to proceed.
Phase-II(b) — Adaptability Test-I & Adaptability Test-II
These tests evaluate a candidate's psychological suitability and adaptability to military service life, discipline, and team environments typical of Air Force operations. Adaptability Test-II is generally an extension assessing group behaviour and decision-making under structured conditions.
Phase-III — Medical Examination & Document Verification
Conducted by the Air Force Medical Team as per IAF medical standards, including baseline investigations such as blood tests, urine tests, X-ray, ECG, and USG (for female candidates). Original documents — educational certificates, identity proof, domicile proof — are verified in parallel. An Appeal Medical Board is available (fee: ₹40/-) for candidates declared medically unfit who wish to contest the decision.
Final Selection — Merit-Based State-Wise List
Final selection is based on state-wise merit, medical fitness, vacancy availability, and overall compliance with eligibility criteria. The Provisional Select List (PSL) is published first, followed by the Final Enrolment List with e-call letters sent to selected candidates' registered emails.
