Indian Bank traces its origin to 1907 and stands as one of India's oldest and most trusted Public Sector Banks with over 5,700 branches nationwide and a particularly strong presence in South India. Owned by the Government of India under the Ministry of Finance, Indian Bank plays a pivotal role in priority sector lending, digital banking, and financial inclusion across the country.

The SO Recruitment 2026 drive covers an impressive breadth of specialist roles — from cutting-edge technology domains like datacenter operations, information security, DBA, network operations, application development and data analytics, to core banking functions like corporate credit appraisal, financial analysis, and chartered accountancy, to market-facing roles in forex trading, wealth management, and marketing. This diversity makes the 2026 SO drive one of the most comprehensive specialist recruitment campaigns by any PSU bank this year.

The recruitment is conducted through IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection). Candidates apply at ibpsreg.ibps.in. Depending on the volume of applications received, Indian Bank will decide whether to conduct a Written/Online Test before the Interview or directly shortlist candidates for the Interview based on application screening. All 350 posts are permanent, regular positions with benefits governed by Indian Bank Officers Service Regulations and IBA settlement terms.
