Eligibility Criteria — Who Can Apply
Educational Qualification
Must hold the relevant ITI / Diploma / Graduate degree (B.Sc., B.Pharma, B.L.I.Sc.) or Diploma qualification as specified against each vacancy
Qualification must be from a recognised institution. Studied as a regular (not correspondence/distance-mode) candidate.
Pass-Out Year — 2022 or Later Only
Must have passed the qualifying examination in the year 2022 or later. Candidates who completed their qualification before 2022 are strictly not eligible.
This is one of the most critical eligibility conditions — verify your year of passing before applying.
Regular Mode of Study
Only candidates who completed their qualifying course as regular students are eligible. Distance learning, correspondence, or private mode completions are not accepted.
Regular mode means attending institute physically with standard attendance and examination system.
NATS Portal Registration — Mandatory
Candidates must be registered and verified on the BOAT/NATS portal at www.mhrdnats.gov.in by the Regional Board before applying. Unregistered candidates will be rejected.
NATS = National Apprenticeship Training Scheme. Registration is free. Regional Board verification may take a few days — register early.
No Post-Graduation Holders
Candidates who have acquired a postgraduate degree (M.Sc., M.Pharma, M.Tech, MBA, etc.) are not eligible, regardless of their undergraduate qualification.
The apprenticeship is designed for fresh undergraduates — over-qualified candidates need not apply.
No Prior Work Experience ≥ 1 Year
Graduate / Diploma holders who have completed one year or more of training or work experience after obtaining the essential qualification are NOT eligible under the Apprentices Act.
Brief internships during the degree may be acceptable — but formal employment of 12+ months post-qualification disqualifies.

Merit-Based Shortlisting by Director INMAS Board
A board constituted by the Director, INMAS reviews all applications received. Shortlisting is done strictly on merit — based on the percentage or marks obtained in the essential qualifying examination (ITI/Diploma/Graduate degree). Document Verification at Joining
Selected candidates are called for document verification at the INMAS campus in Delhi. Original qualification certificates, marksheets, identity documents, category certificates (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD in prescribed format from competent authority), and a valid Medical Fitness Certificate must be produced at this stage. Suppression of facts at any stage leads to immediate disqualification.

Contract Execution & Commencement of 12-Month Training
Selected candidates must execute a formal contract of apprenticeship for a period of 12 months as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act 1961 and rules framed thereunder. The training commences from the date the contract is executed at INMAS, Delhi. The training is structured, supervised, and conducted at the INMAS campus. No TA/DA is paid for joining. Accommodation and transport are not provided by INMAS during the training period.

Register on the NATS/BOAT Portal
Visit www.mhrdnats.gov.in — the official National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal managed by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT). If you are not already registered, create a new candidate account. Fill in your personal details, qualification information, and upload required documents (marksheets, certificates, photo). Registration is completely free. After submitting, your profile is sent to the relevant Regional Board for verification — this verification step is mandatory before applying to any establishment.

Wait for Regional Board Verification
After submitting your NATS registration, the Regional Board (BOAT Southern Region for the South, Northern Region for Delhi/NCR, etc.) will verify your details and approve your profile.
