- Cannot leave during Papers 1 & 2: Candidates are not permitted to exit the examination hall during Paper 01 and Paper 02. Exit is allowed only after Paper 02 concludes.
- Biometric verification before Paper 03: Biometric (fingerprint) verification is conducted again before Paper 03 begins. Candidates who fail biometric verification may be barred from Paper 03.

- Step 2: For each paper, go question by question. Mark each answer as: Correct (if matches key), Wrong (if you marked a different option), or Skipped (if you left it blank)
- Step 3: Count totals — number of correct, wrong, and skipped for each paper

Paper 02 — Regional Language Options

Paper 02 of the JSSC Excise Constable exam tests candidates in their chosen Regional Language — and unlike Paper 01, it is merit-based, meaning marks from Paper 02 count toward the final selection cut-off. JSSC offers 15 language options to accommodate Jharkhand's rich linguistic diversity. Candidates selected their preferred language at the time of application — this choice is permanently fixed and cannot be changed. 📙 Paper 02 — Merit-Based (100 questions, 300 marks)
Paper 02 tests grammar, comprehension, vocabulary, and language proficiency in the chosen regional language. Unlike Paper 01, marks from Paper 02 are counted in the final selection merit.
