Stage 1 — Preliminary Examination (CBT) — Conducted if Applications Exceed 50,000
An objective-type Computer Based Test with 120 questions / 360 marks / 2 hours. Covers General Knowledge, General Science, General Mathematics, Mental Ability, and Reasoning. Negative marking: 1 mark deducted per wrong answer. The exam is conducted in offline/OMR mode as per latest notification details. Prelims is qualifying in nature and shortlists candidates for the Mains. Marks of Prelims are not counted in the final merit.

Stage 2 — Main Examination (CBT) — 3 Papers — Final Merit Stage
The Main Examination consists of 3 Papers. Paper 1 and Paper 2 are common for all posts (General Knowledge, Language, Aptitude). Paper 3 is post-specific — technical subject paper relevant to the post applied for (e.g., Statistics for Statistical Supervisor, Commerce/Accounts for Auditor, Life Sciences for Inspector, Fishery Science for Fishery Supervisor, Dairy Technology for Dairy Technical Officer). Final merit list is based entirely on Mains marks. The technical syllabus for VBDCP, Entomologist, and Fishery posts will be published separately.

Stage 3 — Document Verification
Candidates shortlisted based on Mains merit are called for Document Verification at a designated venue in Ranchi or district headquarters. All original certificates — educational qualifications, caste/disability/EWS, Jharkhand domicile, date of birth proof, and character certificate — must be presented. Any discrepancy between application data and original documents leads to immediate disqualification. All candidates are provisionally admitted — final selection is subject to document verification clearance.

Is there an online correction facility after application submission?+
Yes — JSSC provides an online correction facility for candidates who wish to rectify mistakes in their application. Through this window, candidates can edit all details except Name, Date of Birth, Email ID, and Mobile Number. These four fields are permanently locked after initial registration and cannot be changed under any circumstances. The dates for the correction window will be announced separately on jssc.jharkhand.gov.in after the application period closes.
What is the selection process for JSSC JTGLCCE 2026?+
The selection process has three stages: (1) Preliminary Exam (CBT) — 120 questions / 360 marks / 2 hours — conducted only if applications exceed 50,000 — qualifying stage with 1 mark negative marking — (2) Main Examination (CBT) — 3 papers including a post-specific technical paper — final merit is based on Mains marks — (3) Document Verification — verification of all original certificates for finally shortlisted candidates. PET/Physical Test is not part of this recruitment. Final appointment is subject to medical fitness as per Jharkhand Govt. norms.
