Document Verification — Complete Process Guide
Report at DV venue on time — carry all originals + 2 self-attested copies — absence = cancellation
🚫 CRITICAL — Absence at DV Means Permanent Cancellation

Railway Recruitment Boards have clearly stated that candidates who fail to report for Document Verification on the scheduled date and time, or candidates unable to produce required original documents, will have their candidature cancelled. There is no provision for rescheduling DV due to personal reasons, inability to procure documents, or non-receipt of DV call letter due to email/SMS delivery failure. It is the candidate's responsibility to regularly check the official RRB portal and download the DV call letter. Do not depend on SMS or email reminders from RRB — always monitor the portal directly.

1

Before DV — Download e-Call Letter & Prepare Documents

Download the DV e-call letter from rrb.digialm.com or your regional RRB website using Registration Number + DOB. Note the DV date, reporting time, and venue address. Arrange all original documents and prepare two sets of self-attested photocopies of each document. Documents to be verified include educational certificates, age proof, caste/category certificates, nursing/pharmacy council registration, and experience certificate (for Nursing Superintendent — mandatory 2 years experience proof). Carry the DV call letter printout — entry without call letter is not permitted.

2

At DV Venue — Report on Time, Present Documents

Report at the specified venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled reporting time — late arrivals are typically not allowed entry. The DV is conducted by a Railway official panel. Your original documents are checked against the information submitted in your CBT application form. Any mismatch between application data and original documents — including name spelling, date of birth, qualification year, category, or registration number — results in rejection. If you are found ineligible at DV, your candidature is cancelled on the spot.

3

Documents Found in Order — Proceed to Medical Examination

After successful completion of Document Verification, candidates are informed about the Medical Examination schedule — typically held at the Railway Hospital/Health Unit on the same day or the next day. Candidates should be prepared to stay for 3–4 days near the DV venue to complete both processes. Carry the DV call letter printout for the Medical Examination as well — it is required for identification at the Railway Hospital. No separate medical call letter is usually issued.

4

Medical Examination at Railway Hospital

Medical examination is conducted at the nominated Railway Hospital or Health Unit. The examination fee is ₹24 only — payable at the hospital on the day of examination. No advance payment or payment to RRB/agents is required. The medical exam assesses general health, vision (with and without correction), hearing, blood pressure, and physical fitness as per Railway medical standards for paramedical posts. In exceptional cases, specialised tests (ECG, X-ray, lab tests) may be required — these may involve additional charges at external facilities if not available in the Railway Hospital. Candidates found medically unfit for their opted post are not given an alternative posting.

5

After DV & Medical — Final Merit List & Appointment

After all DV and Medical rounds are completed across shortlisted candidates, the respective Railway Zonal/Divisional authorities prepare the final merit list based on CBT performance (normalised marks) — subject to clearance of DV and Medical. Appointment orders are issued by the respective Zonal Railway/Division — not by RRB (RRB only recommends; appointment is done by Railway administration). Candidates are required to report for joining within the time specified in the appointment order.

The list of shortlisted candidates has been arranged in ascending order of roll numbers and does not indicate merit ranking.
How do I download the DV Call Letter for RRB Paramedical CEN 03/2025?+
The DV e-Call Letter is available at the official portal: https://rrb.digialm.com/EForms/configuredHtml/33128/98076/login.html — this is the portal given in the notification. You can also access it from your respective regional RRB website (see Section 08 for all 21 regional website URLs). Login using your Registration Number (generated when you applied for CEN 03/2025) and Date of Birth (as password, in DD-MM-YYYY format). After login, look for the DV Call Letter download link for CEN 03/2025 Paramedical. Download the PDF and print at least 2–3 copies. The call letter contains your DV date, reporting time, venue address, and list of documents to carry.
Till when can I download my scorecard for RRB Paramedical CEN 03/2025?+
The scorecard link will remain active till 15.06.2026 at 23:55 hrs, allowing candidates to download and save their scorecards within the specified period. After this deadline, the scorecard link will be permanently deactivated — RRB will not reactivate it for individual requests. Download your scorecard immediately if you haven't already. The scorecard shows your name, roll number, CBT date, marks obtained in each section, normalised score, and your qualifying/shortlisting status. Save it as a PDF and print multiple copies — it may be required at DV and is useful for future reference.
What happens at Document Verification for RRB Paramedical 2026? What documents must I bring?+
RRB will conduct Document Verification at designated locations mentioned in the DV e-call letter. Candidates will receive DV details through Email and SMS. DV e-call letters can be downloaded from the official RRB website. Reporting time, venue details, and instructions will be mentioned in the e-call letter. Candidates must report on the scheduled date and time without fail. Documents required: DV e-call letter printout, photo ID (Aadhaar/PAN/Voter ID), Class 10 and 12 certificates and marksheets, qualifying degree/diploma certificate and all year marksheets, valid State Nursing Council / Pharmacy Council registration certificate (mandatory for Nursing Superintendent and Pharmacist), experience certificate (2 years — for Nursing Superintendent), category certificates (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD as applicable in GoI format), and 8–10 passport-size photographs. Carry originals + 2 self-attested photocopies of each.
What is the Medical Examination process and fee for RRB Paramedical CEN 03/2025?+
Medical Examination: Conducted at a railway hospital, usually a day after DV. A ₹24 fee applies, with extra charges for specialised tests if required. Candidates must meet RRB medical standards. After successful completion of Document Verification, candidates will be sent for Medical Examination at the nominated Railway Hospital or Health Unit. Medical examination may be conducted on the same day or the next day after DV. Candidates should be prepared to stay for 3 to 4 days for completion of both processes. The medical exam checks general health, vision, hearing, blood pressure, and fitness as per Railway medical standards for paramedical posts. Candidates found medically unfit for the opted post are not offered any alternative appointment. There are no additional charges payable to Railway Hospitals or Health Units for the medical examination. However, in exceptional cases where specialized tests are required outside Railway Hospital facilities, candidates may have to bear those expenses separately.
What is the meaning of "roll numbers in ascending order do not indicate merit rank"?+
The RRB publishes the shortlist for DV as a PDF with roll numbers arranged in ascending numerical order — this simply means roll numbers are listed from smallest to largest number. The position of your roll number in this list has absolutely no bearing on your merit rank or your chances of final appointment. The actual merit ranking is determined by your normalised CBT score, and the final appointment panel is prepared separately based on merit after DV and Medical clearance. A candidate whose roll number appears first in the DV shortlist may have lower marks than one appearing later — the ascending arrangement is purely for ease of reference, not a merit indicator.
I didn't receive any SMS or email about the DV call letter. What should I do?+
SMS and email reminders from RRB are supplementary communications only — they are not the primary mode of notification. Delivery may fail due to network issues, spam filters, or incorrect contact details in the application. It is entirely the candidate's own responsibility to regularly visit the official RRB portal (rrb.digialm.com or regional RRB website) and check for DV call letter availability. Do not wait for SMS/email confirmation before checking the portal. If you are shortlisted (your roll number appears in the result PDF), your DV call letter will be available on the portal — log in using your Registration Number and Date of Birth. Contact the helpdesk email or phone number of your respective regional RRB if you face login issues.
Is my Nursing Council registration certificate mandatory for the Nursing Superintendent post? What if it's expired?+
Yes — a valid, current State Nursing Council registration certificate is absolutely mandatory for the Nursing Superintendent post. An expired registration leads to rejection of candidature at DV, regardless of how well you performed in the CBT. The registration must be from a State Nursing Council recognised by the Nursing Council of India (NCI) — registrations from unrecognised bodies are not accepted. If your registration has lapsed, renew it immediately at your respective State Nursing Council before attending DV. The experience certificate (minimum 2 years of nursing experience) is also mandatory for Nursing Superintendent — carry experience letters from previous/current employer(s) showing the period, designation, and nature of work.
Does clearing DV and Medical guarantee appointment in Indian Railways?+
Clearing DV and Medical does not automatically guarantee appointment. Shortlisting for Document Verification is purely provisional and subject to verification of eligibility, educational qualifications, category certificates, and other required documents. After all DV and Medical rounds are complete, the respective Zonal Railway prepares a final merit list based on normalised CBT scores — including only those who cleared both DV and Medical. Appointment is then made in order of merit up to the number of vacancies. The recruitment process is completely computerized and merit-based. Selection is strictly based on merit. No influence or recommendation can secure a job. Candidates should beware of touts and fraudulent individuals claiming to provide railway jobs.
