Understanding the Answer Key — Response Sheet Color Codes

The SSC response sheet uses a colour-coded system to help candidates compare their answers against the official key. Here's what each colour means:

Your Answer = Correct (Green)
Your Answer = Incorrect (Red)
Correct Option as per Key (Yellow)
Not Attempted (White/Grey)
📊 How to Calculate Your Score
  • The CBT carries 100 questions × 1 mark each = 100 marks total
  • There is NO negative marking for wrong answers in the AWO/TPO CBT
  • Only correct answers earn marks — wrong answers and unattempted questions carry 0
  • Your total score = Total correct answers × 1
Total Score = No. of Correct Answers × 1 Mark
No negative marking | No marks deducted for wrong or unattempted answers | Max: 100 Marks
✅ Example: If you answered 85 questions and got 72 correct → Total Score = 72 marks (wrong answers do not reduce your score)

Frequently Asked Questions — SSC Delhi Police HC AWO/TPO Final Answer Key 2026
Q1
When was the SSC Delhi Police HC AWO/TPO Final Answer Key 2026 released?
+
The SSC Delhi Police Head Constable AWO/TPO Final Answer Key 2026 along with the Scorecard (section-wise and total marks) was released on 16 June 2026 at the official SSC portal ssc.gov.in. The Final Answer Key is published after SSC evaluates all representations/objections submitted by candidates during the challenge window (05–07 February 2026) against the Provisional Answer Key.
Q2
Till when can I download the Delhi Police AWO/TPO Scorecard 2026?
+
The Delhi Police AWO/TPO Scorecard 2026 is available for download only till 30 June 2026 (6:00 PM). After this date, the link will be permanently deactivated and SSC will not entertain any individual requests for scorecard, marks, or response sheets under any circumstances. Candidates are strongly advised to download and save their scorecard immediately — do not wait until the last day.
Q3
How many candidates are shortlisted for PET/PMT in Delhi Police AWO/TPO 2026?
+
A total of 6,543 candidates have been shortlisted for the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PET/PMT) based on the CBT marks. This is significantly more than the 443 vacancies — SSC typically shortlists a larger pool for the physical stage to ensure sufficient candidates remain after all subsequent qualifying stages. Only candidates whose roll numbers appear in the official shortlist on ssc.gov.in are eligible for PET/PMT.
Q4
Is there any negative marking in the Delhi Police HC AWO/TPO CBT?
+
No. There is absolutely no negative marking in the Delhi Police Head Constable AWO/TPO Computer Based Test. Each correct answer carries +1 mark, and wrong answers or unattempted questions carry 0 marks. Your total score = number of correct answers. This is different from some other SSC examinations like CGL/CHSL where 0.5 marks are deducted per wrong answer. So no marks are deducted from your score for wrong answers in this exam.
Q5
Why were the vacancies revised from 552 to 443?
+
SSC revised the total vacancies for Delhi Police Head Constable AWO/TPO Recruitment 2025 from the originally announced 552 posts to 443 posts following an official communication/revision from Delhi Police. Vacancy revisions are common in police/central government recruitment and can happen due to administrative reasons, court orders, budget adjustments, or departmental requirements. The revised vacancy breakup (category-wise) is published in the official SSC notice at ssc.gov.in. Candidates whose names appear in the shortlist are unaffected by this revision at the PET/PMT stage — the final selection count will match the revised vacancy figure.
Q6
What is the difference between the Provisional and Final Answer Key?
+
The Provisional Answer Key is the first version released by SSC (released on 05 February 2026) containing SSC's initial correct answers to all CBT questions. Candidates can challenge any answer they believe is incorrect by paying ₹100 per question during the challenge window (05–07 February 2026). SSC's subject experts then review all valid objections. The Final Answer Key (released on 16 June 2026) incorporates any changes made after evaluating valid objections. It may have different answers for some questions compared to the provisional version. The Final Answer Key is the authoritative document on which all scores are calculated — the Provisional Answer Key score is not the final score. If your score on the Final Answer Key is higher than your Provisional estimate, it means SSC accepted a challenge in your favour.
Q7
What happens in the PET/PMT stage? How should I prepare?
+
The Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PET/PMT) consists of:

PMT (Physical Measurement): Height and chest measurements (for male) or height and weight check (for female) against prescribed standards.

PET (Physical Endurance): A running/endurance test to assess physical fitness. SSC will announce the exact PET standards for this recruitment — candidates should track updates on ssc.gov.in.

Preparation tips: Start running daily (1–2 km building up to 5 km). Ensure you meet the height and chest/weight standards. If you are close to the borderline, consult a doctor for guidance. The PET/PMT is qualifying in nature — passing is mandatory to proceed but does not contribute to final merit.
Q8
What is the salary of Delhi Police Head Constable AWO/TPO?
+
Delhi Police Head Constable (AWO/TPO) is a Group C, Pay Level 4 post under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix — Basic Pay range: ₹25,500–₹81,100. In addition to basic pay, candidates receive:

Dearness Allowance (DA) at current central rates (~55%+)
House Rent Allowance (HRA) at Delhi rates (27% of basic pay for X-city)
Transport Allowance
— Delhi Police uniform and other duty-specific allowances
NPS pension and medical benefits

The gross in-hand salary for a newly joined Delhi Police Head Constable AWO/TPO is approximately ₹40,000–₹50,000 per month depending on allowances. Over time, with annual increments and DA revisions, the salary increases significantly.
