SSSC has confirmed that the detailed schedule for Document Verification — covering batch allocation, reporting date, reporting time, and venue — will be published on sssc.gov.in shortly. Past SSSC recruitments show these notices can arrive with very short lead times. Qualified candidates must begin organising their original documents right now rather than waiting for the schedule announcement. Being caught unprepared at DV — even for a single missing document — can lead to disqualification despite clearing the shorthand test.
Documents to Carry on DV Day — Originals + Self-Attested Photocopies:
- BC and OBC certificates must be in the Central Government or respective state government's currently prescribed format — older format certificates are routinely rejected at court-level recruitments
- Any mismatch between application-submitted data and original documents — whether in name spelling, date of birth, or category — results in immediate disqualification even after qualifying the shorthand stage
- Report at least 30 minutes before your batch's scheduled reporting time — delays are not accommodated and you risk being turned away
- Organise all documents in a clear logical sequence before the DV date — this makes verification faster and leaves a positive impression during the interaction component
- If any certificate is currently under process at the issuing authority, begin the application for it today — SSSC does not accept undertakings or affidavits as substitute for original certificates at DV

Stage 4 — Final Merit List & Appointment to Subordinate Courts
Based on performance across all stages and successful document verification, SSSC prepares a final category-wise merit list. Candidates on the merit list receive appointment orders for posting as Stenographer Grade-III in district and subordinate courts across Punjab or Haryana. The joining formalities, service conditions, pay details, and initial posting location are communicated at this final stage.
