Carefully verify all details: your Name, Roll Number, Date of Birth, Exam Date (should show 22 April 2026), Exam Centre Address and City, Reporting Time, and Shift. If any detail is incorrect, contact your regional SSC office immediately — do not wait until exam day.
Download, Print & Keep Safe
Download the admit card as PDF and save a copy on your device. Print at least 2 copies on A4 paper — one for the exam, one as backup. Keep the printout flat without folding or crumpling. Carry the printed admit card (not a photo/screenshot on phone) to the exam centre along with a valid original photo ID. Arrive at the exam centre at least 30–60 minutes before the reporting time mentioned on the hall ticket.
| Post | Test Type | Speed Requirement | Duration | Medium |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LDC / JSA / PA / SA | Typing Test | 35 WPM English (10,500 KDPH) OR 30 WPM Hindi (9,000 KDPH) | 10 min (15 min PwD) | English or Hindi (chosen at application — final) |

| DEO Grade-A (CAG) | DEST | 15,000 KDPH (~50 WPM) | 15 min | English only |
| Skill Test/Typing Test is qualifying in nature — marks are NOT added to the final merit list. However, failing the Skill Test disqualifies you from the entire selection process regardless of how well you performed in Tier 1 and Tier 2 written sections. | ||||
- Language is fixed: The typing language (Hindi or English) chosen at the time of filling the online application form is FINAL. No change request is entertained afterwards.
- Hindi font options: Candidates opting for Hindi typing can use either Mangal (Inscript layout) or Kruti Dev — choose what you practised with.
- Backspace is allowed: You can correct mistakes using the backspace key. However, excessive backspacing slows your overall typing speed — prioritise accuracy from the start.
- Errors calculated to 2 decimal places: Full mistakes (omission, wrong word, addition) and half mistakes (spacing errors, incorrect capitalisation) are calculated precisely up to two decimal places.
- Qualifying failure = disqualification: If you fail to achieve the minimum required speed/accuracy, you are removed from the final selection process — even with excellent written exam scores.
- VH candidates: Passage dictators are provided for Visually Handicapped candidates who opted for scribe in the Typing Test. Additional compensatory time is granted.
- DEO DEST: Skill Test for DEO posts is conducted only in English and no exemptions apply even for PwD candidates (though PwD get extra time).
