3

Navigate to Marks / Scorecard Section

After login, look for the "Marks / Scorecard" or "Result" section in your candidate dashboard. Click on the link for Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2025 — Tier 2 Scorecard. You will find separate links for the scorecard, final answer key, and response sheet.

4

Download Scorecard PDF

Click the Scorecard download link to open your personal scorecard PDF. It will display your section-wise raw marks, normalised marks, qualifying status, roll number, category, DOB, and post preferences. Download it to your device and verify all details carefully.

5

What the SSC CGL Tier 2 Scorecard Contains
📋 Information Printed on the Scorecard
  • Candidate Name — as registered during application
  • Registration Number & Roll Number — as on Tier 2 admit card
  • Father's Name & Mother's Name
  • Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY format)
  • Category — UR / OBC / SC / ST / EWS / ESM / PwBD etc.
  • Post Preference — as submitted during the Sliding process
  • Section-wise Raw Marks — Section I, Section II, Module-I (GA), Module-II (CKT), DEST (if applicable), Paper-II or Paper-III marks (if applicable)
  • Normalised Marks — final scores after applying SSC's multi-shift normalisation formula
  • Qualifying Status — Whether shortlisted in FRTA / Not Shortlisted
  • Total Marks — aggregate score used for merit determination
Final Merit = Normalised Marks in Tier 2 (Paper-I merit sections)
Normalisation is applied because exam is conducted in multiple shifts — raw marks may increase or decrease | CKT & DEST are qualifying only, not counted in merit
08
Normalisation Process — How SSC Calculates Final Marks

Since SSC CGL Tier 2 is conducted in multiple shifts with different question sets, raw marks alone are not directly comparable across shifts. SSC applies a statistical normalisation formula to ensure fair comparison.

📐 Normalisation Formula — Key Points
  • SSC uses a formula based on the mean and standard deviation of marks obtained by candidates across different shifts
  • If your shift had a tougher question paper, your normalised score may be higher than your raw score
  • If your shift had an easier question paper, your normalised score may be lower than your raw score
  • Normalised scores are used for all rankings, cut-offs, and merit list preparation
  • The Scorecard will show both raw marks and normalised marks — final ranking is based on normalised marks only
  • Candidates cannot challenge the normalisation process or the formula — it is a standardised SSC procedure

Frequently Asked Questions — SSC CGL Tier 2 Score Card 2026
Q1
When was the SSC CGL Tier 2 Score Card 2026 released and till when can I download it?
+
The SSC CGL Tier 2 Score Card 2026 was released on 17 June 2026 at 9:00 PM at ssc.gov.in, along with the Final Answer Key and candidates' individual Response Sheets. The download window is available till 16 July 2026 at 9:00 PM — after which the link will be permanently deactivated and SSC will not entertain any individual requests for marks or scorecards. Candidates are advised to download all three documents (scorecard, final answer key, response sheet) immediately and save them securely.
Q2
How many candidates are selected in SSC CGL 2025?
+
A total of 15,118 candidates have been provisionally selected (recommended for appointment) across various Group B and C posts through SSC CGL 2025-26 (CGLE 2025). This final result was declared on 14 May 2026. These candidates were selected based on their Tier 2 normalised marks, post preferences submitted during the sliding process, and category-wise reservation rules. The 15,118 figure represents the total number of central government vacancies filled through this cycle.
Q3
What is the SSC CGL Tier 2 cut off 2025-26 for the General (UR) category?
+
For posts other than JSO/Statistical Investigator Grade-II, the cut-off for the UR (General) category in SSC CGL Tier 2 2025-26 is: Section-I: 54 marks and Section-II: 63 marks (normalised). For OBC candidates: Section-I: 45 marks, Section-II: 52.5 marks. For SC/ST candidates: Section-I: 36 marks, Section-II: 42 marks. These are minimum qualifying cut-offs for shortlisting in the FRTA list — scoring above the cut-off does not guarantee final selection since merit ranking depends on your position relative to all other qualified candidates for your preferred post.
Q4
Is there negative marking in SSC CGL Tier 2?
+
Yes, negative marking is present in SSC CGL Tier 2. The deductions are: −1 mark per wrong answer in Section I (Maths & Reasoning), Section II (English), and Module-I of Section III (General Awareness) of Paper-I. For Paper-II (Statistics) and Paper-III (GS Finance & Economics) — the negative marking is −0.50 marks per wrong answer. Module-II of Section III (CKT) carries a deduction of −0.50 per wrong answer. Unattempted questions carry no penalty. This is different from SSC CGL Tier 1 where negative marking is uniformly −0.50 per wrong answer.
Q5
My raw marks are lower than my normalised marks on the scorecard. Why?
+
This is expected and normal. Since SSC CGL Tier 2 is conducted in multiple shifts with different question sets, raw marks are normalised to ensure fair comparison across shifts. If your shift had a relatively tougher paper compared to other shifts, the normalisation process may increase your final score to compensate for the difficulty difference. Conversely, if your shift had an easier paper, your normalised score may be slightly lower than your raw score. This normalisation is done using a statistical formula based on mean and standard deviation of scores across all shifts. The normalised score — not the raw score — is used for all merit rankings, cut-offs, and final selection.
Q6
I am not in the final selected list of 15,118 but I scored above the cut-off. Why?
+
Scoring above the minimum cut-off means you were shortlisted in the FRTA (First Round of Tentative Allocation) list released on 08 April 2026. However, final selection from the FRTA list depends on multiple factors beyond the cut-off: your exact merit rank (normalised marks) among all FRTA-shortlisted candidates, the number of vacancies in your category for each post, and the post preferences you submitted during the Sliding process. The Sliding process involves interactive allocation — if candidates higher in merit took your preferred posts, you may not get a post even if you cleared the cut-off. The final 15,118 are those for whom posts were successfully allocated.
Q7
What happens after SSC CGL Final Result 2026? What is the next step?
+
The next and final stage after the SSC CGL Final Result and Scorecard is Document Verification (DV). SSC forwards the selected candidates' details to their respective appointing departments (e.g., Income Tax, Customs, CBI, Enforcement Directorate, Audit departments etc.). The appointing departments then schedule Document Verification at their own offices — candidates must carry original documents. If DV is successful, appointment letters and joining dates are issued. The entire process from final result to joining typically takes 3–6 months depending on the department. Download your scorecard and keep all original documents ready.
Q8
What is the salary for SSC CGL Group B and C posts?
+
SSC CGL recruits for a wide range of posts at different pay levels. Key salary ranges (7th CPC Pay Matrix):

Group B Gazetted — AAO (Level 8): Basic ₹47,600–₹1,51,100
Group B Non-Gazetted — Income Tax Inspector, Preventive Officer (Level 7): Basic ₹44,900–₹1,42,400
Group B Non-Gazetted — SI in CBI / CBN (Level 7): Basic ₹44,900–₹1,42,400
Group C — JSO / Statistical Investigator Gr-II (Level 6): Basic ₹35,400–₹1,12,400
Group C — Tax Assistant, DEO (Level 4/5): Basic ₹25,500–₹92,300

All posts receive DA (~55%+), HRA (city-wise), Transport Allowance, and department-specific allowances. Gross in-hand for Level 7 posts in a metro city is typically ₹65,000–₹80,000+ per month.
