Select Your Category — Non-ITI or Ex-ITI
From the dropdown labelled "Selection Type", choose your category: Non-ITI (if you applied on the basis of Class X marks only) or Ex-ITI (if you applied with an ITI certificate). This is the most important selection — choosing the wrong category will not show your result.
Select Your Factory Name
From the "Factory Name" dropdown, select the specific Ordnance Factory you applied to. You may also select "All" to view the combined list across all factories. Since you could apply to only one factory, select that specific factory for a focused and quicker search.

Click the "View Selection List" button. The merit list PDF will load on screen. Press Ctrl+F (on PC) or use the search bar (on mobile) to search for your Registration Number or Name. If your name appears in the list, you are provisionally selected. If not, your application was not shortlisted for this batch.
Download PDF and Take 3–4 Printouts

Note your merit rank, allotted factory name, trade, and category from the list. Begin gathering original documents right away — the DV schedule can be announced on short notice.
- Selection at this stage is purely provisional — it does not guarantee final appointment as a Trade Apprentice
- Final engagement is subject to successful document verification, clear police verification report, and passing the medical fitness examination
- YIL and the respective factories have the right to cancel any candidature at any stage if documents are found incorrect, forged, or eligibility is not met
- No further objections regarding the merit list will be entertained after the release date of 22 April 2026

Download and Print the Selection List Immediately
If your name appears in the TA 59 merit list, download the PDF right away and take 3–4 colour printouts. Note your merit rank, trade name, and allotted factory. This document will be required at the document verification stage. The PDF may be de-listed or updated — save a local copy on your device.
Gather All Original Documents Immediately
Start organising original documents without waiting for the DV date announcement. Required originals include: Class X marksheet and certificate, ITI certificate and marksheet (for Ex-ITI candidates), Aadhaar Card, Date of Birth proof, Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD), Domicile / Residence certificate, and recent passport-size photographs. Prepare attested photocopies of each.
Monitor recruit-gov.com for Document Verification Date
The Document Verification schedule will be announced separately by each Ordnance Factory on recruit-gov.com. YIL will also send SMS and email alerts to registered candidates. There is no common DV date — each factory will communicate independently. Check the portal daily and ensure your registered email and mobile number are active.
Attend Document Verification at Allotted Factory
Report to the specific Ordnance or Ordnance Equipment Factory named in your selection list on the scheduled DV date with all original documents and self-attested photocopies. Discrepancy in any document — including name spelling, date of birth, category, or marks — may lead to rejection at this stage. Documents must match exactly with what was submitted in the online application.
Medical Fitness Examination
Candidates who clear document verification are required to undergo a Medical Fitness Examination conducted by the respective Ordnance Factory's hospital. The date, time, and venue for the medical exam will be separately communicated by the factory. Apprenticeship training is subject to passing the minimum prescribed physical fitness standards as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 — no relaxation is permitted.
Apprenticeship Training Commences
Candidates who pass the medical exam and clear police verification are formally engaged as Trade Apprentices (59th Batch) at their allotted Ordnance or Ordnance Equipment Factory. Training is governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961. Upon successful completion, candidates receive an NCVT trade certificate. Accommodation in factory quarters/hostels may be provided based on availability at the respective factory.
