HCL selects candidates entirely through a Personal Interview (PI) — there is no written examination, aptitude test, or group discussion at any stage. The PI carries 100% weightage in determining final selection. Applications received are first screened for eligibility, then shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio (5 candidates per vacancy) based on merit from additional experience and qualifications. In case of a single vacancy, 10 candidates are shortlisted. Shortlisted candidates receive an interview call letter via their registered email.

Visit www.hindustancopper.com → Click on the Career section → Find the link for Advertisement No. Estt./1/2033/2025-26 (active from 05 June 2026) → Register with your name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number. Generate login credentials. Read the "How to fill the Online Application form" instructions provided on the career page carefully before filling the form. Applications open at 11:00 AM on 05 June 2026. Keep all qualification and experience details ready before starting.

Step 2 — Select Grade, Discipline & Fill Complete Application

After login, select your Grade (E2/E3/E4) and Discipline/Cadre. Fill all mandatory sections: personal details, qualification table (enter exact percentage of marks — no rounding), complete work experience table (every organisation, all dates, designations, and job responsibilities), current salary/grade details, category, and PwBD/ESM status. For dual specialization degrees, upload the major/minor subject certificate from your institute. For CGPA-based degrees, upload the percentage conversion certificate from the university.

Step 3 — Upload All Required Documents

Upload scanned copies: (a) recent passport-size photograph and signature (JPEG format), (b) educational certificates — 10th, 12th, graduation, post-graduation, professional qualification (CA/CMA etc.) as applicable, (c) complete experience certificates from every employer — must include designation, department, DOJ, DOL, and full job description, (d) current employer's salary slips (3 months) + Form-16 + bank statements if from private sector, (e) PSU grade/scale proof if from PSU/Govt., (f) category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL in GoI format; EWS certificate valid for 2026-27; OBC issued on/after 01.04.2026), (g) PwBD certificate if applicable, (h) First Class Mine Manager's Certificate for Mining E4. Step 4 — Pay Application Fee & Submit

Pay ₹500 for General/OBC/EWS candidates — through Payment Gateway or NEFT Online Transfer via HCL's website only. SC/ST/PwBD and internal HCL candidates are fully exempted. No other form of payment (DD, cheque, cash) is accepted. After payment, preview the complete application once more. Click Submit — generate the Application Number. Print the Computer-Generated Online Application and the Acknowledgement Slip — keep copies for your records — required at the Personal Interview stage.

Step 5 — Monitor Email & Prepare for Personal Interview

After application, keep your registered email active — all communications from HCL including interview call letter are sent via email only. Interview call letter will also be available for download through your registered HCL account. PSU/Govt. candidates must arrange their NOC (No Objection Certificate) from their present employer — required at the time of PI.
