Result Overview — Important Facts You Must Know
📊
What Has Been Released?
Bank of Maharashtra has published a State-wise Provisional Merit List for 600 Apprentice posts under Notification No. AX1/ST/RP/Apprentices/Notification/2025-26. The list is downloadable as a PDF from the official careers section at bankofmaharashtra.bank.in. This is a provisional list — final engagement requires successful document verification and medical fitness clearance.
📐
How Was the Merit List Prepared?
There was no written exam and no interview. The merit list was prepared state-wise in descending order of marks/percentage obtained in Class 12 (HSC/10+2) or Diploma. In case of identical percentages, the older candidate (born earlier) is ranked higher. This is a purely objective, marks-based selection — completely fair and transparent.
🗺️
State-wise Selection — Why It Matters
The 600 vacancies are distributed across multiple States and UTs. Candidates applied for the specific state where they hold local language proficiency. Merit is calculated separately per state, so your competition was only against others who applied for the same state. Provisionally selected candidates will undergo training in the state they were selected for, based on bank requirements.
⚠️
This Is a Provisional List — Not a Final Confirmation
The published list is provisional. Final engagement as an apprentice will only be confirmed after (1) Document Verification, (2) Antecedent verification, and (3) Medical fitness. The Bank reserves full right to cancel any provisional selection if documents are found invalid, incorrect, or not meeting eligibility requirements. Please do not discontinue any current activity until you receive the official engagement letter.
📋
Waiting List — Valid for One Year
As per the official notification, a state-wise Waiting List will be maintained for one year. If provisionally selected candidates do not join, or vacancies remain unfilled, candidates from the waiting list will be called for apprenticeship training in order of merit. This means even candidates not in the main list should check the official website regularly for waiting list updates.
🌐
NATS Portal Registration Is Mandatory
Finally selected candidates are required to register themselves on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) Portal at nats.education.gov.in before commencing training. A Contract of Apprenticeship must also be executed before training begins. Failure to register on NATS or sign the contract will result in cancellation of engagement. Keep your Aadhaar card ready for NATS registration.
