Final Answer Key 2026 — What You Need to Know
What Is the Final Answer Key?
The Final Answer Key is the official, conclusive answer key released by SSC after considering all objections submitted against the Provisional Answer Key. The Provisional Answer Key was released on 26 September 2025; candidates raised objections (at ₹50 per objection) during the challenge window. After evaluating all valid objections, SSC released the Final Answer Key on 20 March 2026. The final key cannot be challenged — it is absolute and used to calculate the final marks for result declaration.
What's Available to Download?
Candidates can download the following from the login portal: (1) Final Answer Key — the correct answers for all questions in your shift/set, (2) Response Sheet — your actual recorded responses in the CBE, (3) Marks/Scorecard — individual marks obtained after applying the final key to your responses. All three together help you verify your exact score and understand how the result was calculated. SSC will NOT provide these separately — download within the window.

The Final Answer Key + Response Sheet + Scorecard are available from 20 March 2026 and the last date to download is 19 April 2026. SSC will not entertain any request from candidates to provide the answer key or response sheet after this date. There is no fee to download the final answer key. Negative Marking — 0.50 marks per wrong answer
For every incorrect answer, 0.50 marks (half mark) are deducted. There is no penalty for unanswered questions. The CBE is designed so that wild guessing is costly — attempt only questions you are confident about. With 100 questions at 2 marks each (200 total) and 0.50 negative marking, accuracy is the key to a high normalised score in Phase XIV onwards.
Normalisation — Why Scores Are Adjusted
Since the CBE was conducted in multiple shifts across multiple days (24 July – 4 August + 29 August 2025), raw scores are normalised to account for variations in difficulty levels between shifts.
