|---|---|---|
| Final Answer Key | Correct answers for all questions in your exam shift, as finalised by SSC after scrutinising all objections | Compare with your response sheet to verify answers and confirm your final score |
| Question Paper | Complete question paper of the exam shift you appeared in — all 200 questions with 4 options each | Useful for analysis, preparation reference, and verifying which questions you attempted |
| Response Sheet | Your own answer choices as recorded by the CBT system — Roll No, Name, Exam Shift, Question IDs, options selected, answer status (correct/incorrect/unattempted) | The official record of what you marked — use with the answer key to calculate exact score |
| Scorecard | Your calculated score based on the final answer key — marks for correct answers, deductions for wrong answers, total marks obtained | Official SSC-calculated score — forms the basis for shortlisting for next stages |
| All 4 documents are available for download till 5 May 2026. After that, SSC will deactivate the link permanently. The scorecard reflects the final marks computed using the final answer key — this is the definitive score. | ||
| Example | Correct | Wrong | Unattempted | Total Score |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Candidate A | 150 | 30 | 20 | (150 × 1) – (30 × 0.25) = 150 – 7.5 = 142.5 |
| Candidate B | 130 | 50 | 20 | (130 × 1) – (50 × 0.25) = 130 – 12.5 = 117.5 |
| Candidate C | 170 | 10 | 20 | (170 × 1) – (10 × 0.25) = 170 – 2.5 = 167.5 |
To calculate your score, open your Response Sheet alongside the Final Answer Key. For each question, compare your chosen option with the correct answer shown in the final key. Count the total correct and incorrect responses — then apply the formula above. The Scorecard automatically shows your calculated score, so you can verify your manual calculation against the SSC-generated figure.
Since SSC CPO Paper-I is conducted across multiple shifts over multiple days (9–12 December 2025), marks are subject to normalisation if difficulty levels differ across shifts. The scorecard you download reflects your normalised score — this may differ slightly from the raw score calculated using the formula above. The normalised score is the official score used for shortlisting and final merit. Always refer to the scorecard for the exact official score rather than manual calculation.
| Section | Subject | Questions | Marks | Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Part A | General Intelligence & Reasoning | 50 | 50 | 30 min |
| Part B | General Knowledge & General Awareness | 50 | 50 | 30 min |
| Part C | Quantitative Aptitude | 50 | 50 | 30 min |
| Part D | English Comprehension | 50 | 50 | 30 min |
| Total | 200 | 200 | 2 hours | |
| Questions are Objective Multiple-Choice Type (MCQ). Paper is bilingual (Hindi and English) — except English section which is in English only. Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer. Sectional timer of 30 minutes per section — candidates cannot revisit a section once time expires. Conducted in CBT (Computer-Based Test) mode. | ||||
A major change in SSC CPO 2025 Paper-I was the introduction of a 30-minute sectional timer for each section. Candidates must complete all 50 questions in Part A before the system automatically moves to Part B, and so on. You cannot go back to a previous section once the 30-minute window has passed. This rule makes time management within each section critical — unlike previous years where candidates could freely move between sections during the 2-hour window.
| Stage | Component | Marks / Nature | Status (As on April 2026) |
