The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has officially declared the UP Home Guard (Swayamsevak) Written Examination Result 2026 on 28 June 2026 on its official website uppbpb.gov.in. The written exam for 41,424 Home Guard posts across 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh was held on 25, 26, and 27 April 2026. Over 1.92 crore (approximately 1,92,91,550) candidates appeared for the exam, making it one of UP’s largest-ever recruitment exercises. Based on performance in the written test, 1,07,221 candidates (approximately 2.6 times the total vacancies) have been provisionally shortlisted for the next stage — Document Verification (DV) and Physical Standard Test (PST). How bonus marks work:
The final merit list is not based solely on raw written exam marks
UPPRPB first normalises written exam scores (adjusting for variation across shifts/dates), then adds preference marks for eligible qualifications
These bonus marks are added to the normalised written score to arrive at the final composite score used for district-wise, category-wise merit ranking
Candidates holding any of these certificates must bring the original certificate for verification at the DV stage — without original proof, bonus marks may be cancelled and the merit rank recalculated
Even a small bonus mark addition can be crucial for borderline candidates in competitive districts
