- Candidates with 1 year or more job experience after acquiring the qualifying qualification are NOT eligible
- Candidates who passed qualifying exam more than 5 years ago (as on 30-06-2026) are NOT eligible
- Qualifications obtained through part-time / correspondence / distance education are NOT accepted — regular full-time only
- Lateral entry diploma holders (Class XII / ITI admitted in 2nd year) are eligible if 50% aggregate across all semesters is met
The dates for DV (11–18 August 2026) and shortlist publication (05 August 2026) are tentative as stated in the official notification. IOCL may revise these dates. Monitor iocl.com and your registered email regularly for any changes or corrigendum. All corrigendum and addenda will be published only on iocl.com.
STEP I — Register on NAPS Portal
Visit apprenticeshipindia.gov.in → Register as apprentice → Apply to IOCL Guwahati Refinery opportunity → Select relevant trade → Ensure 100% profile completion with correct category, marks, and personal details
STEP I — Register on NATS Portal
Visit nats.education.gov.in (Board of Apprenticeship Training / BOAT) → Register → Apply to IOCL Guwahati Refinery opportunity from your dashboard → Ensure details are correct before final submission
Check Your Eligibility — Before Applying
Verify you meet ALL conditions: age 18–24 (as on 30-06-2026), qualifying exam passed by 30-06-2026, minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD), regular full-time course, no higher professional qualification (B.E./MBA/CA/LLB), no prior job experience ≥1 year, qualifying exam passed within last 5 years. Candidates with B.Sc. (Maths/Physics/Chem) can apply for only ONE of codes 101, 103, or 108.
STEP I — Register & Apply on NAPS or NATS Portal
Codes 101–103, 108–111: Register at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in (NAPS) → Go to “Apprenticeship Opportunities” → Search by location (Guwahati Refinery) and relevant trade → Apply. Codes 104–107: Register at nats.education.gov.in (NATS / BOAT) → Apply to IOCL Guwahati Refinery advertisement from your dashboard. Ensure your NAPS/NATS profile has 100% correct details — Name, DOB, Category, qualification marks. Corrections must be done through NAPS/NATS office directly.
STEP II — Fill Microsoft Form on iocl.com (MANDATORY)
After completing STEP I, visit iocl.com → What’s New → Engagement of Apprentices under Guwahati Refinery Unit → Click “Click here to submit additional information on Microsoft Form”. Enter all details including your NAPS/NATS Enrollment/Registration Number accurately. Submit only one response in the Microsoft Form. Both STEP I and STEP II must use the same email ID and mobile number. Incomplete or mismatched applications are rejected.
Verify Submission & Keep Acknowledgement
After completing both steps, confirm that your application is visible in your NAPS/NATS dashboard and that your Microsoft Form submission is acknowledged. Keep screenshots of your NAPS/NATS application confirmation and Microsoft Form submission. Note your NAPS Enrollment Number / NATS Student ID — needed at Document Verification. Both steps must be completed by 28 July 2026 (17:00 hrs).
Monitor iocl.com for DV Shortlist (05 Aug 2026)
The tentative list of candidates called for Document Verification will be published on iocl.com on or around 05 August 2026. Also check your registered email for communication from IOCL. If shortlisted, collect and prepare all original documents for DV at IOCL Guwahati Refinery from 11–18 August 2026. SC/ST/PwBD candidates are reimbursed 2nd class single railway fare (shortest route, distance ≥30 km) for attending DV.
