General Eligibility Conditions

• Candidates must have completed their qualifying examination within the last three years, counted from the closing date of the application.
• The minimum age is 17 years as on the date of application.
• Candidates currently undergoing, or who have already completed, an apprenticeship with any organisation are not eligible to apply again.
• Only candidates with a regular, full-time qualification are eligible. Degrees or diplomas earned through part-time, correspondence, distance, or online modes will not be accepted.
• The percentage of marks must be clearly stated in the final consolidated mark sheet. If your mark sheet shows a CGPA instead, you will need to upload a percentage-conversion certificate issued by your institute.
• Your specific branch or specialisation should be mentioned on your degree or diploma certificate. If it isn’t, you must arrange a supporting letter from your college confirming the specialisation.
• Applicants must be Indian citizens.
• Candidates may apply for only one trade at one location. Submitting multiple applications across trades or locations will lead to automatic rejection of all such applications.

Bank Account Requirement

Applicants need an Aadhaar-seeded, DBT-enabled bank account, since stipend payments are credited through Direct Benefit Transfer as per Government of India norms. 5. Selection Process

BEML follows a fully merit-based selection process — there is no written examination or interview at any stage.

1. NATS/NAPS Registration: Candidates first register on the relevant government apprenticeship portal — NAPS for ITI trade apprentices, or NATS for Degree and Diploma engineering apprentices — and complete their profile with all required documents.
2. Application Screening: BEML screens submitted applications against the eligibility norms and required qualifications for each trade.
3. Shortlisting for Document Verification: A category-wise merit list is drawn up separately for each trade at each location, and candidates are shortlisted for document verification in a 1:5 ratio against the number of available training slots. Shortlisted candidates are informed through their registered email, and no travel allowance is paid for attending verification.
4. Final Merit List: After document verification, a final merit list is prepared based on the percentage of marks scored in the qualifying examination.
5. Offer of Engagement: Candidates found eligible are issued an offer of engagement, subject to slot availability. Remaining eligible candidates are placed on a reserved waiting panel, maintained at five times the number of slots, which is used to fill vacancies as they arise.

6. Stipend & Apprenticeship Terms

• The apprenticeship runs for one year from the date of joining, with no provision for extension.
• Apprentices must maintain a weekly work diary and submit it to their assigned reporting officer.
• Completion of the apprenticeship does not entitle the apprentice to any claim of future employment with BEML.
• BEML reserves the right to terminate an apprenticeship at any stage for reasons such as absenteeism, indiscipline, misconduct, or poor performance.
