About PM SHRI Autism Centers in Andhra Pradesh

Under its Inclusive Education component, dedicated Autism Centers are being established across municipalities of Andhra Pradesh to provide specialised assessment, therapy, and educational support for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related neurodevelopmental conditions. These centres bring together a multidisciplinary team — therapists, psychologists, special educators — to deliver holistic care in close coordination with local school systems. Context — Is the Salary Competitive?
For experienced therapists and special educators in Andhra Pradesh, the offered ₹30,000 per month is modest compared to private sector equivalents but provides the advantage of structured, project-based work with clear social impact. The key value of this engagement is the professional experience at government-funded Autism Centers, the official appointment under a CPSE/PM SHRI project (strong CV credential), and the opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant inclusive education initiative. PMU Consultants at ₹55,000 are comparably placed for project management roles in the social sector.

06. Selection Process

No written exam — Application Screening → Shortlisting → Personal Interview — experience-weighted

Stage 1 — Online Application Submission & Document Screening
All applications submitted online at tsgrecruitment.edcil.co.in before 4 June 2026 are screened for basic eligibility — qualification, registration status (RCI/professional licence), AP TET/CTET (for Special Educators), age limit, and completeness of uploaded documents. Incomplete applications or those lacking mandatory supporting documents (degree certificates, RCI certificate, TET certificate) are rejected at this stage. Accuracy of information in the form is absolutely critical — EdCIL verifies against uploaded documents.

Stage 2 — Shortlisting Based on Qualifications & Experience
Eligible candidates are shortlisted for the interview based on a weighted assessment of academic qualifications and professional experience. Candidates with higher qualifications (M.Sc. over B.Sc., M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology, specialised degrees in Autism) and more relevant clinical experience working with children with ASD or other developmental disabilities are prioritised. Experience is a significant differentiator in this recruitment — document all your relevant internships, clinical placements, and professional work clearly in the application.

Stage 3 — Personal Interview
Shortlisted candidates are called for a Personal Interview on a prescribed date and time communicated via registered email and mobile. The interview assesses domain-specific professional competence, practical knowledge of working with children on the Autism Spectrum, communication skills, and suitability for placement in an Autism Center environment. Interview performance is the primary selection criterion. Location and format of interview will be specified in the interview call letter.

Stage 4 — Waiting List & Final Engagement
A waiting list will be maintained and used to fill vacancies created by selected candidates who do not join or whose contracts terminate during the project period. Finally selected candidates are deployed at Autism Centers across Andhra Pradesh municipalities as per EdCIL’s operational planning. Deployment location within AP is determined by EdCIL/SPD — candidates must be willing to work at any assigned location across AP.

08. How to Apply Online — Step by Step

Apply free at tsgrecruitment.edcil.co.in — deadline 4 June 2026 — 13-day window only

Step 1: Visit the Official EdCIL Recruitment Portal
Go to tsgrecruitment.edcil.co.in — this is EdCIL’s dedicated recruitment portal for this project. Alternatively, visit edcilindia.co.in and navigate to the Career / Vacancies section to find the link for this recruitment. Download and carefully read the full notification PDF before proceeding — all eligibility conditions, experience requirements, and document specifications are binding.

Step 2: Register with a Valid Email ID and Mobile Number
Click “Register” or “New Registration” on the portal. Enter your valid email ID and active mobile number — all communications from EdCIL (interview call, result, joining intimation) will be sent only to these contact details. Note your login credentials carefully and keep them secure. Do not use someone else’s email or phone number — this can cause you to miss critical communications.

Step 3: Fill Application Form — Personal, Qualification & Experience Details
Select the post you are applying for (only one). Enter your personal details, date of birth, category, address, and contact information. Fill your educational qualification details accurately — institution, year, marks/CGPA, and whether RCI-recognised (for applicable posts). Enter your work experience in chronological order — organisation, designation, duration, and nature of work. Experience with children with ASD and neurodevelopmental conditions is particularly important to highlight.

Step 4: Upload Mandatory Documents
Upload self-attested scanned copies (PDF/JPEG as specified): Degree certificate & marksheet (qualifying degree for applied post), RCI Registration Certificate (mandatory for Speech Therapist, Clinical Psychologist, Special Educators — application will be rejected without this), AP TET / CTET certificate (mandatory for Special Educator posts), Professional registration/licence certificate (for OT and PT), Experience certificates from all previous employers, Aadhaar Card, and recent passport-size photograph and signature. Ensure all scans are clear and complete — partial or blurry uploads lead to rejection.

Step 5: Submit Application — No Fee Required
Review every field in the application form. No application fee is required — proceed directly to submit. After submission, download and save the application confirmation / acknowledgement receipt with your unique application number. Keep your mobile and email active throughout the selection process. 09. Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. How many posts are there in EdCIL Multidisciplinary Recruitment 2026?
EdCIL has announced 879 posts in total under Advt. No. TSG/Autism/Multidisciplinary-Team/2026-01 dated 22 May 2026. This comprises 875 Multidisciplinary Staff posts and 4 PMU Consultant posts. The 875 multidisciplinary posts span: Occupational Therapist (84), Physiotherapist (84), Psychologist (126), Speech Therapist (210), Clinical Psychologist (42), Special Educator Primary Level (168), and Special Educator Secondary Level (161). All posts are at Autism Centers across Municipalities of Andhra Pradesh under Inclusive Education–PM SHRI.

Q2. Is there any application fee for EdCIL Multidisciplinary Staff Recruitment 2026?
No — there is absolutely no application fee. The application is completely free of cost for all candidates regardless of their category (General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD). Apply at tsgrecruitment.edcil.co.in without any payment. The notification explicitly confirms zero fee — do not pay any amount to any website claiming to be EdCIL’s fee payment gateway other than the official portal.

Q3. Is RCI registration mandatory for all posts?
RCI registration is mandatory for three specific categories only: Speech Therapist, Clinical Psychologist, and Special Educator (both Primary and Secondary levels). For Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist, a valid professional registration or licence as per applicable regulations is required (not necessarily RCI but from the relevant professional body). For Psychologist and PMU Consultant, RCI registration is not specifically mandated.

Q4. Is AP TET required for Special Educator posts?
Yes — AP TET or equivalent CTET is mandatory for both Special Educator posts. For Special Educator Primary Level, candidates must have qualified AP TET Paper-1B or CTET Paper-1 in Special Education. For Special Educator Secondary Level, candidates must have qualified AP TET Paper-2B or CTET Paper-2 in Special Education. These are hard eligibility conditions — candidates without valid TET/CTET qualification in Special Education will not be considered for Special Educator posts.

Q5. What is the salary for EdCIL Multidisciplinary Staff 2026 posts?
The fixed monthly contractual remuneration is: ₹30,000/month for Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Psychologist, Speech Therapist, Clinical Psychologist, and Special Educator (Secondary Level). ₹25,000/month for Special Educator (Primary Level). ₹55,000/month for PMU Consultant. These are all-inclusive fixed monthly amounts — no separate DA, HRA, transport allowance, PF, or other benefits are payable over and above the stated remuneration.

Q6. Is this a permanent government job or contractual?
This is purely contractual. EdCIL’s notification is explicit — this engagement does not vest any right to claim regular employment or permanent absorption in EdCIL or any Government Organisation. Contract extension depends entirely on the continued project requirement under Inclusive Education–PM SHRI, Andhra Pradesh and the individual’s performance. There is no guaranteed employment duration — the engagement continues as long as the project requires and performance is satisfactory. Candidates should approach this as a valuable professional experience opportunity rather than a path to permanent government employment.

Q7. What is the selection process for EdCIL Multidisciplinary Recruitment 2026?
The selection process has three stages: Stage 1 — Online Application Screening (applications are screened for eligibility, document completeness, and correct mandatory certificates). Stage 2 — Shortlisting based on academic qualifications and professional experience (candidates with higher qualifications and more relevant experience are prioritised). Stage 3 — Personal Interview of shortlisted candidates on a date communicated via email/SMS. There is no written examination. A waiting list is maintained to fill positions where selected candidates do not join.

Q8. Can a candidate apply for multiple posts in EdCIL Multidisciplinary 2026?
No. Each candidate should apply for only one post for which they are qualified. Applying for multiple posts (e.g., both Psychologist and Clinical Psychologist) using the same or different applications may result in all applications being rejected. Choose the post that best matches your highest qualification and most relevant experience, and apply for that single post only.

Q9. Can candidates from outside Andhra Pradesh apply for EdCIL Multidisciplinary 2026?
Yes — the recruitment is open to Indian nationals from any state. There is no domicile restriction mentioned in the notification. However, selected candidates will be deployed at Autism Centers across municipalities in Andhra Pradesh — candidates must be willing to work and potentially relocate to an assigned location within Andhra Pradesh. Candidates with working knowledge of Telugu (Andhra Pradesh’s state language) may be given preference during shortlisting as it aids direct communication with local children, families, and school staff.
