Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) — a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL) — has officially released the Admit Card / Hall Ticket for the Computer Based Test (CBT) on 26 June 2026. The CBT is scheduled to be held on 06 July 2026 for candidates who applied for the 577 vacancies across HEMM Operator (Trainee), Paramedical Staff (Staff Nurse, Pharmacist, Technician) and Overseer (Civil) posts. Candidates who submitted their online applications between 09 April 2026 and 01 May 2026 can now log in to the official exam portal at cdn.digialm.com using their Registration Number or Date of Birth to download their personalised hall ticket. The admit card contains the candidate’s exam centre address, shift timing, reporting time, and other crucial instructions. Candidates must compulsorily carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid government-issued photo ID to the exam centre. Additionally, HEMM Operator candidates must carry their original valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) / Transport Driving Licence. Merely receiving the admit card does not guarantee eligibility — candidature remains provisional until Document Verification.

Enter Your Login Credentials
On the login page, enter either: (a) Registration Number + Password or (b) Registration Number + Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY format). Both methods work — use whichever you have available from your original registration. Click “Login” or “Submit”.
Locate and Open the Admit Card
After logging in, navigate to the “Admit Card” or “Hall Ticket” section on your candidate dashboard. Click on the link to open your personalised admit card for the CBT scheduled on 06 July 2026. Verify all details shown on the card.
Verify All Details on the Admit Card
Carefully check: Candidate Name, Roll Number, Registration Number, Category, Post Applied For, Exam Date (06 July 2026), Shift Timing, Reporting Time, Exam Centre Name and Full Address, and your Photograph and Signature. If any detail is incorrect or the photograph is blurred, contact NCL immediately through the official helpdesk — do not wait.
Download & Print — Take 2–3 Copies
Click “Download” or “Print” to save the admit card as a PDF. Print at least 2–3 clear copies in A4 size on plain white paper. Ensure the photograph and all text are clearly visible and not cut off. Blurred or partially printed admit cards may be rejected at the exam centre. Save the PDF digitally as well.
Reach the Exam Centre 30 Minutes Before Reporting Time
Candidates must report to the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card. Entry to the exam hall is typically closed 15 minutes before the exam starts. Late entry is not permitted under any circumstances.

The CBT on 06 July 2026 is of 100 marks, 90 minutes duration, conducted in bilingual (English and Hindi) mode. There is no negative marking. Unattempted questions receive zero marks. The pattern differs for HEMM Operator posts (common paper) and Paramedical/Overseer posts (separate paper per post).

Stage 1 — Computer Based Test (CBT) ✅ — 06 July 2026
100 questions / 100 marks / 90 minutes. Minimum qualifying: 50/100 for UR/EWS, 40/100 for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/ESM. No negative marking. Separate papers for HEMM and Paramedical/Overseer posts. Merit list prepared based on CBT score within each post category. Admit card released 26 June 2026.
Stage 2 — Document Verification (Scrutiny)
Candidates shortlisted based on CBT merit are called for document verification at NCL headquarters. Original certificates of educational qualification, age proof, category certificate, HMV driving licence (HEMM), registration certificates (for paramedical posts), and identity documents are verified. No TA/DA is paid to candidates for DV, except 2nd class Non-AC rail fare for SC/ST candidates for CBT as per rules. Mismatch or invalid documents = disqualification.
Stage 3 — Medical Examination
Candidates who clear DV are required to undergo a Medical Examination as per NCL’s prescribed medical standards for the respective post. HEMM Operators must meet vision and physical fitness standards required for heavy vehicle driving in open-cast mining conditions. Paramedical candidates must meet health standards prescribed for hospital/healthcare roles. Appointment is subject to medical fitness.

- Selected candidates will primarily be posted in NCL’s operational areas — coal mines in Singrauli district (Madhya Pradesh) and Sonbhadra district (Uttar Pradesh)
- Selected candidates are liable for transfer to any mine/establishment/hospital of NCL — and also to other subsidiaries of Coal India Limited (CIL) as per organisational requirements
- NCL provides accommodation, transport, schools, hospitals, and other colony facilities to employees and their families at the mine colonies
- In addition to basic pay: VDA (Variable Dearness Allowance), HRA or company accommodation, LTC, medical benefits for self and family, provident fund, gratuity, and other Coal India perquisites are provided

Basic pay approximately ₹1,502.66 per day (roughly ₹39,000–₹45,000/month basic). With VDA, HRA, and other Coal India allowances, the gross package can range from approximately ₹65,000–₹75,000/month on regular pay scales after training completion.

Basic pay: ₹47,330.25/month. Gross approximately ₹80,000–₹95,000/month including VDA, HRA/company accommodation, and allowances.
Technician (Dental), Technician (Refraction/Optometry), Jr. Technician (ECG) — T&S Grade D:
Basic pay: ₹43,775.55/month. Gross approximately ₹72,000–₹85,000/month.
All employees also receive Coal India standard perquisites: PF, gratuity, LTC, medical facilities, company accommodation or HRA, and community amenities in NCL mine colonies.

Additionally, NCL’s management decision in all matters relating to eligibility and selection is final and binding. Canvassing in any form leads to disqualification. Any court jurisdiction for disputes will be the Hon’ble MP High Court, Jabalpur (M.P.).
