One rule that trips people up: these posts are Group ‘B’. Because of this, there’s no reserved quota for Ex-Servicemen. But age relaxation still applies to them. Don’t confuse the two.

Negative marking: SSC deducts 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I. In Paper-II, the penalty jumps to a full 1 mark per wrong answer. This is a much steeper penalty than most competitive exams. So think carefully before guessing in Paper-II.

- Complete your One-Time Registration (OTR) first. Note that any old OTR from the previous SSC website won’t carry over to this one.
