Level 9A Entry Pay: ₹56,100/month with maximum reaching approximately ₹1,00,500 after 20+ years of service with 3% annual increment. Level 10 Entry Pay: ₹57,700/month with maximum reaching approximately ₹1,20,000. Selection for either level depends on merit rank, final availability of posts at each level, and category-wise vacancy. Both levels identical in job role (Lecturer), only salary differs. DA, HRA, and other benefits same for both levels.

Yes, you can apply for multiple disciplines if you meet eligibility requirements for each. However, submit ONLY ONE application per discipline. Each discipline treated as separate notification. You cannot apply twice for same discipline. Selection merit rank prepared independently for each discipline. If shortlisted for multiple disciplines, you appear in interview for each separately and can be offered position in multiple disciplines (choose one at final appointment stage).

Merit evaluation considers BOTH degrees separately as per marks obtained: Graduation scored 60% = 15 marks max, Post-graduation (55% to less than 60%) = 15 marks, M.Phil/Ph.D evaluated separately. Higher post-graduation marks do NOT compensate for lower graduation marks in final merit calculation. However, higher post-graduation shows better preparation and counts as additional qualification providing edge in interview. GATE/NET scores, publications, and awards can boost overall merit score significantly even if graduation marks lower.

Teaching and post-doctoral research experience treated equally: 2 marks for one year of continuous experience each, maximum 4 marks total. Teaching experience carries MORE weightage compared to research in polytechnic lecturer selection because primary role is teaching. Teaching experience from recognized educational institutions counted. Research experience (post-doctoral/PhD research at universities) also counted. M.Phil/Ph.D time period NOT counted as teaching/research experience per clause-8. Only full-time continuous work counted.

GATE Score Conversion (Engineering/Technology only): Qualified GATE with >95 percentile = 15 marks, 90-95 percentile = 12.5 marks, 85-90 percentile = 10 marks, <85 percentile = 7.5 marks. NET Score Conversion (Science/Humanities): JRF with NET = 15 marks, NET without JRF = 10 marks, NET/JET (Jharkhand Eligibility Test) = 10 marks. Maximum 15 marks awarded for any entrance exam qualification. Score percentile calculated using official formula: P = [(N-R)/N] × 100 where N = total candidates appeared, R = candidate's rank.

ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED (Absolutely mandatory): 10th pass certificate & mark sheet, 12th/Intermediate certificate & mark sheet, Graduation degree certificate & mark sheet, Post-graduation degree certificate & mark sheet (if applicable), M.Phil/Ph.D registration certificate & award letter (if applicable), NET/JRF/GATE score card (if claimed), Caste/OBC/PWD certificate (if applicable), Age proof (birth certificate/Aadhaar), Aadhar card or voter ID, Teaching/research experience certificates with appointment letters, Publication documents (journal issues or cover pages), Award certificates, NOC from current employer (if applicable). Without originals, interview cannot proceed. Also bring 5-10 passport-size color photographs (35mm × 45mm).

Interview conducted ONLY in English or Hindi. Candidates must be comfortable in either language. Regional language medium (Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, etc.) NOT provided. However, technical terms may be explained if candidate requests. JPSC assumes all Lecturer candidates possess English/Hindi proficiency required for teaching in polytechnics. If language barrier exists, candidate may request brief clarification from panel, but examination questions asked only in English/Hindi. No interpreter provided for personal communication.

If you don't appear for interview: AUTOMATIC REJECTION with NO second chance. Medical/family emergency is NOT valid reason for interview postponement as JPSC maintains strict schedule. Candidates must appear as per scheduled date and time. If unavoidable emergency, request postponement AT LEAST 7 days before interview via official email to JPSC with documentary proof. Postponement approval is at JPSC's discretion; rejection if not approved. Missing interview date = permanent rejection from this recruitment; you can apply in next recruitment (if eligible).

Check Status Online: Login to www.jpsc.gov.in using your registration ID and password. Dashboard shows application status: submitted, under review, shortlisted, interview scheduled, results announced. Interview Date Notification: JPSC sends email to registered email address and SMS to registered mobile number with interview date, time, location, and instructions 2 weeks before interview. PWD candidates age relaxation: General candidates' upper age limit + 10 years for PWD (UR category), + 15 years for PWD (SC/ST), + 13 years for PWD (OBC) = MAXIMUM 62 years across all categories. However, candidates exceeding 65 years at registration cannot proceed. Example: If UR general candidate max age 40 years, then PWD-UR max age = 50 years. SC candidate max 45 years, then PWD-SC max = 60 years. Age calculated as on cut-off date 01.08.2025. Candidates with 40% or less disability can apply; those with >40% eligible only for PWD-reserved posts, NOT general posts.
