- Practical/Trade Test — hands-on test in the specific trade applied for
- Written Test / Personal Interview — technical knowledge, problem-solving, machine knowledge
- Minimum 40% marks required in this component to qualify (35% for SC/ST)
- Call letter issued only to shortlisted candidates via email and portal
- Candidates failing to achieve 40% in trade test are declared "Not Qualified"
- Marks obtained in the minimum essential technical qualification (NTC/NAC/Diploma/Degree)
- Only bare minimum essential qualification marks considered — higher qualifications do not add additional weightage
- Minimum 40% marks required in this component to qualify (35% for SC/ST)
- CGPA/Grade holders must produce university conversion certificate
- Order of priority: NTC → NAC → Diploma → Degree in the application form
Stage 1 — Application Screening & Shortlisting
GCF reviews all received applications. In case of excessive applications, GCF reserves the right to shortlist candidates to be called for Trade Test based on: (a) essential qualification marks; (b) years of previous job experience; and (c) quality/relevance of the brief description of previous job submitted. Candidates who do not submit detailed experience self-declaration will NOT be called for Trade Test. List of shortlisted candidates published on vacancy.parasnet.com; SMS/email alerts sent.
Stage 2 — Trade Test (Practical) + Written Test / Interview — 50% Weightage
Shortlisted candidates receive a Call Letter via email/portal for Trade Test. The practical test evaluates actual hands-on skill — for Machinist CNC: CNC programming, tooling, part alignment; for Welder: TIG/MIG welding quality to RT/UT standards; for Fitter: assembly/stripping of actual components; etc. A Written Test or Personal Interview (as applicable) evaluates theoretical knowledge of the trade. Minimum 40% in this component is mandatory (35% for SC/ST). Candidates below 40% are "Not Qualified" regardless of qualification marks.
Stage 3 — Document Verification & Final Merit
Candidates clearing both components (Trade Test 40%+ AND qualification marks 40%+) are ranked by combined merit (50% + 50%). Document verification is done at GCF Jabalpur — original educational certificates, experience certificates, caste/PwD/ESM certificates, age proof, and ID documents must be produced. Any mismatch between application data and original documents disqualifies the candidate.
Stage 4 — Medical Fitness Test & Joining
Selected candidates must undergo a Medical Fitness Test before joining — conducted at GCF / designated medical facility. Only medically fit candidates receive the engagement order. On joining, candidates must submit a duly filled Police Verification Report (PVR/Attestation Form) in triplicate. PVR must be verified from local police station and delivered to GCF within 3 months of joining (1 month extension possible). After 4 months, engagement cannot continue without verified PVR.
