Phase I — Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE)
An online Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted at designated centres across India tentatively between 1 June 2026 and 15 June 2026. Entry to the examination is strictly based on the admit card. The CEE assesses knowledge in General Knowledge, General Science, Maths, and subject-specific topics based on the post applied for. Negative marking may apply — check the official notification.
Phase II — Recruitment Rally (Physical, Medical & DV)
Candidates shortlisted from the CEE (in proportion to available vacancies) are called for the Recruitment Rally at a designated venue. The Rally includes Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Medical Examination, and Document Verification. All these are conducted on the same day or over consecutive days at the rally site.
Final Merit List
The final merit list is prepared on the basis of aggregate marks scored in the CEE combined with physical fitness test performance (where applicable). Recruitment is purely merit-based. Candidates are strictly warned not to pay any bribe or engage with fraudulent recruitment agents — the Indian Army selection process is entirely transparent and free of cost beyond the ₹250 exam fee.
Training & Enrolment
Selected candidates are enrolled as Agniveers and undergo rigorous military training at designated Army training centres. After successful completion of training, they are deployed for a service period of four years.
