📋 How Merit is Calculated — The Formula

There is no written examination and no interview for SECR Nagpur Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27. Selection is entirely based on a merit score calculated using marks from two documents only: your Class 10 (Matriculation) marksheet and your ITI marksheet. Both are given equal weightage (50% each). Merit List Publication

A trade-wise and unit-wise merit list is prepared and published on secr.indianrailways.gov.in. Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification in the order of merit. The number of candidates called for DV is generally equal to the number of vacancies available in each trade and unit — there is no extra buffer shortlisting as in most written exam-based recruitments.

Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates report to the designated venue with all original documents.
