As explicitly stated in the official notification: No extension of training and no employment will be given after the completion of one-year training by SJVN/STPL. This apprenticeship is purely a training programme under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. Completion of training does not create any right, claim, or expectation of employment with SJVN or STPL. Candidates also need to make their own accommodation and transport arrangements — no residential or travel facilities are provided by STPL.
- Fee payment via Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking through the SJVN e-recruitment portal — online mode only
- Fee once paid is non-refundable under any circumstance — verify eligibility before payment
- If you submit multiple applications, only the latest is considered — fee paid for earlier applications is forfeited
There is no interview or written test for SJVN STPL Apprentice 2026. Eligible candidates are shortlisted purely on the basis of a merit list calculated from academic marks using the weightage formula defined for each apprentice category. Tie-breaking rule: if two candidates have identical total marks, the older candidate is ranked higher.
🎓 Graduate Apprentice
📋 Diploma Apprentice
🔧 ITI Apprentice
For ITI Apprentice: If a candidate scored 75% in Class 10 and 80% in ITI — Merit Score = (75 × 30%) + (80 × 70%) = 22.5 + 56 = 78.5 out of 100. The higher your 10th and ITI percentage, the better your merit rank. Since there are very few seats per trade, even a 1–2% difference in marks can determine selection. Maximising your percentage in the qualifying examination matters significantly.
For Graduate Apprentice: If 10th = 80%, 12th = 75%, B.Tech = 70% — Score = (80×20%) + (75×20%) + (70×60%) = 16 + 15 + 42 = 73 out of 100. B.Tech marks carry 60% weightage — highest priority.
