  • B.E./B.Tech, MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, LLB holders are NOT eligible — even for Graduate Apprentice (Code 112).
  • PwBD candidates are NOT eligible for Discipline Codes 101–111 (technical/trade). Eligible only for Codes 112, 113, 114.
  • Part-time / Distance / Correspondence qualification holders are NOT eligible for any discipline.
  • Qualification for Graduate/Technician must be acquired between 01.04.2022 and 28.02.2026.
  • Qualification for Trade (ITI/DEO) must be acquired between 01.04.2021 and 28.02.2026.
  • A candidate can undergo maximum two apprenticeship trainings. Second training must be in a different trade.
  • Apply for ONE discipline code only. Multiple applications will be summarily rejected.

Selection Process

No Written Test. No Interview. Selection is purely based on percentage of marks in the prescribed essential qualification.

Online Application via NAPS / NATS Portal

Candidates register on the relevant portal (NAPS for ITI/DEO, NATS for Diploma/Graduate) and apply against IOCL Western Region's Establishment ID. Last date: 26 March 2026 (5 PM).

Merit List Preparation

A merit list is prepared based on percentage of marks in the prescribed essential qualification for the respective discipline. All candidates who apply and meet eligibility criteria are included in the merit list.

Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification at an IOCL unit/office (date intimated via registered email). Original documents with self-attested copies must be produced. Any false information at this stage leads to cancellation of candidature.

Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Test

Candidates must be medically fit as per IndianOil's pre-engagement medical format. Guidelines available at iocl.com/apprenticeships. Candidates are advised to review the medical fitness criteria before applying.

Offer of Engagement for Apprenticeship Training

Candidates whose documents and medical fitness certificate are found in order receive the engagement offer. The 12-month apprenticeship training then commences at the allotted IOCL location within the notified state.

  • Upon completion of 12 months, IOCL has NO obligation to offer employment.
  • An apprentice cannot claim any right to employment on the grounds of completing the training.
  • Apprenticeship is purely a skill training engagement under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

If your qualification uses CGPA/OGPA/Letter Grade, you must indicate the equivalent aggregate percentage in the application as per your university's norms. You must also submit a certificate from the university/institute confirming the equivalent percentage at the time of document verification — failing which your candidature will not be considered.
Yes, provided: (1) Your previous apprenticeship is completed, (2) There is a minimum one year gap between the two trainings, and (3) The second training is in a different trade. A maximum of two apprenticeship trainings are allowed per candidate.
